Private Classical Guitar Teacher
I have been teaching guitar for more than 15 years.
Every student is unique. We all have different ways of learning and retaining information: by rote, from a printed score, by ear, etc... Each student is interviewed and consulted to gain an understanding of how they learn most effectively and to create customized private lessons on the guitar.
For classical guitar, there again are strict technical guidelines to achieve a beautiful tone and effective movement. To supplement my private instruction, I use different method of books and others for technical training and basic music theory as they relate to the guitar.

At the end of every class, he sends me an email with notes and recordings of him showing how to play a piece, so I have access to all the tips and references from my classes.
Also, I love how he reminds me to rest my arm, play with minimal necessary tension, so that playing is comfortable!!
Finally, I find his calm, patient presence creates a good atmosphere for me to learn as I feel comfortable making a mistake while having guidance how to fix it.

I've been teaching Classical Guitar for about 3 years now and Basically what you would get from learning this style is the original way on how to play guitar, theory within music, build your ear, learn how to read music and build independence in both hands but at the same time teaching them how to play together. Ultimately you learn many things from focusing on one.

Listening to every genre - even ones you're not particularly excited about - is an important part of expanding your musical palette. Read on as Grand Rapids, MI teacher Marty L. explains... As musicians or music-appreciators, we all have our favorite genres. You will most likely find me grooving to the new Red Jumpsuit Apparatus EP (which is pretty cool) or exp …

A few weeks ago the Washington Post published an article about musician Hannah Hanh and her struggles with improvisation. As a classical violinist, she hadn't had much training for spontaneity, naturally. The article points out improvisation as a technique that has fallen by the wayside for many performers these days. And it asks an interesting question: Can (and should) classical musicians learn to improvise? We've talked a lot about improvising on the guitar and drums, but where do classi …

Earlier, we took a look at how to develop your right hand for classical guitar. In this article, guitar teacher Raymond L. will add to the balance by teaching you exercises for the left hand... The classical guitar repertoire covers more scales and arpeggios than any other technical skill. Therefore, I consider it important for you, as a classical guitar player or student, to focus on these following exercises. They're based on scales and arpeggios for the purpose of developing …
