Classical Guitar

Levels Taught:
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
I have been playing the guitar for 11 years, then started learning classical guitar approximately 5-6 years ago. As a recent graduate from Southeastern Louisiana University, I have been teaching guitar and ukulele lessons as well as classes since the spring of this year (2017). I hold a bachelor's degree in music performance with my primary instrument being the guitar.
I can help you to acquire a solid foundation of music theory knowledge. You can help to better understand music theory concepts if they are paired with guitar techniques to supplement them.
If you are a complete beginner, do not be afraid! I will help you to learn at a pace which is comfortable but still effective for you. These lessons will be focused and designed to fit YOUR needs. Let's learn together :)

Teaching since:

My name is Brandi Brumfield and I am ready to become your guitar teacher! Playing the guitar has been my passion for 12 years and counting. I took talented music classes throughout my high school years and decided that I wanted to pursue music as a profession. I attended Southeastern Louisiana University for music performance and focused on the classical guitar as my primary instrument. I have played many gigs ranging from open mic nights, accompanying a choir, classical guitar ensembles consisting of up to 12 people, and my solo recitals. I also play the electric guitar and the ukulele, with recently expanding interests for electronic music and synthesis.
My goal since graduation has been to make teaching lessons my full time occupation. Building up a studio certainly doesn't happen overnight, so I have come here to expand my availability to the internet! As your instructor, I can help you to learn any and all of the things that you want to accomplish on the guitar even if you are a complete beginner. Don't wait to create - we can progress together!

Here is the closing set from my senior recital. Music by Francisco Tarrega. It isn't perfect but was my best at the time.
