I offer lessons in Guitar for all levels, having 10+ years of teaching experience and 18 in the music industry. I've taught children from 7 years old to adults 60+ from many different backgrounds, and my lessons are always structured the same way: To serve your needs, your goals and allow you to enjoy the process of learning. I began playing when I was 11, and I find that for any beginner, it's important to start with material that gets instant "musical" sound from the guitar. This consists on learning the chords to your favorite songs, some easy riffs or melodies, and discovering the path you want to take on the instrument. Once you get more advanced, technical aspects like music theory and how to use it creatively take a more important role in the lessons. For advanced players, I will find your strengths and weaknesses, and we will work on maintaining those strengths while slowly improving on the weaknesses, which may be technical, theoretical or even psychological. If you are more advanced and looking to learn a particular style or area of the guitar such as improvisation, fingerpicking, extended chord vocabulary or if you need to prepare for a college audition (including sight-reading) I have the material you need, as I went through the same process.
