Luis is a humble, patient and compassionate instructor. He displays a genuine love for teaching and is clearly committed to his students success. He is your cheerleader-of-sorts. Meaning, when you feel flustered with yourself he's the one who keeps a positive attitude and puts your mind back into that "I can do this" thinking pattern. I'm confident that anyone who enlists the help of this outstanding instructor will surely be happy with his work.
Claudia
My 8 year old daughter has been studying piano for the past 2 months, he's flexible with timing and very patient with my child, she has learned more than I expected. I put her in his class because I heard that piano helps progress children's mind in mathimatics and other subjects and she has actually done better in her classes ever since she started.
Cristina
I took classical guitar first then piano because I got my nails done. Luis is a very patient teacher and advances his lessons according to your pace. He not only encourages you to continue the classes, but pushes you to practice at home atleast 30 minutes to work out the fingering in guitar and the hand placements for piano. I've been with him for 4 months and planning to continue, he has always kept his home clean and his work space organized. Luis offers in Spanish and English and has been very patient with my frustration when I don't get things right.

I studied classical guitar for two (2) years while a music student at the University of North Texas. Since then I have continued to 'dabble' in classical guitar as well as other genres.

About Robert

Robert began playing guitar in Houston, Texas at the age of 12. It was not long before he began playing in bands and played his first professional gig at age 17. Robert performed in and around the Houston area for five years before deciding to study music on the college level. He attended the Un

Robert is very nice and polite. I think the lesson was sufficient for the first lesson. He gave me homework to work on the D, G, and C chords. We went over the right hand numbering PIMA. I need to determine what my goals are in playing the guitar.

I am very happy with my guitar lesson with Mr. Calva. He is very knowledgeable and very patient. He found out my musical background and goals. He used that to structure my lessons today. He then gave me homework, tips, and short term goals. I am super pleased with his style of teaching. By the way, I am 50 years young...

Adam is a great teacher and has a passion for music. He's super friendly and patient. He works well with beginners, creating lessons tailored to your individual goals, and can even work with intermediate level musicians who want to spruce up their sound. I 100% recommend him.

WOW! Adam got me flying on my cherrywood acoustic in no time. He knows so much about different playing styles, and helped me get my sound to where I could make great cover YouTube videos! I owe it all to Adam! He’s got great stories too!
Julian
For years I’d try to pick up my acoustic (it was a gift from my uncle) and toy around with it, even trying lessons on YouTube, but couldn’t get anywhere. After my first 3 sessions with Adam, I immediately knew I’d have the tools to take off on my own if I wanted to. 6 months later I’m playing gigs at local bars! This guy knows his guitars! Super fun and chill personality too!

"I love taking lessons with Raymond! I have been studying classical guitar with him for about three years, and look forward to my lessons more now than when I started them. I have some musical background, but always felt stuck when taking instrumental lessons from other instructors, wondering if I would ever be able to work hard enough to truly learn an instrument well. Raymond's expertise, his kindness, sense of humor, and holistic teaching style--that reaches me on my level, rather than just telling me what to do--really shows the results of great instruction. Plus, some of Raymond's methods for learning guitar apply to other areas in life and help me work through other "challenges"! Thank you for inspiring me, Raymond!"

"With a patient and intuitive approach, Juan tailors each lesson to fit not only the student’s skill level, but also desire for depth of understanding. When I first began taking lessons, I was only able to plunk a few chords and play along with a few basic songs. However, over the course of a year and a half with Juan, I gained a foundational knowledge of the classical guitar, as well as the confidence to site read and play a range of other styles of guitar music. He seamlessly integrated music theory concepts into song studies, helping me learn major/minor scales and chord shapes, and then apply this knowledge to better understand song structures and composition. It has been such a great experience learning from Juan, especially because he is both an exemplary teacher and guitar player!"

"Remi was wonderful for my 9 year old son's 1st lesson. The online class is very convenient for our schedule. Although it presents a slight challenge in communication, Remi was able to easily overcome this challenge by writing on a small marker board and holding those notes up to the camera for us to see. He was very patient, and we surprisingly covered a lot of information in a short period of time. I was very impressed with Remi's ability to catch my son's technical errors while attempting to play the designated exercises that he had prepared for him. My son absorbed the introductory lesson like a sponge and can't wait until the next lesson. I am very pleased with Remi and hope to see my son improve over the next several weeks."

"Classical Guitar

When I started taking lessons from Ray I was playing the electric guitar, although I had a classical guitar in my house I did not play it that often. I took my classical guitar once to class and then I started to learn how to play the classical guitar. I went from playing basic peaces of music to playing Minuet in G in a short time. From playing electric guitar about 3 or 4 years to playing classical music in about 1.5 to 2 years. Ray has helped me to increase my knowledge of music."

4 Essential Classic Rock Guitar Solos That Will Make You a Better Player

Learning to play other people's guitar solos is a great way to begin learning to write your own! Guitar teacher Nils B. shares his tips to learning four classic rock solos so you can develop your technique... An essential part of every musician's development is to imitate those who have already mastered their instrument. After settling on a song, give it a couple of close listens (preferably on headphones or a decent stereo), pick up a good transcription, then learn the rhythm parts, while …
