Lessons are specifically tailored to each student based on ability level, learning style, and goals. Younger children will focus more on technique and fun, but in every lesson it is my goal for my students to grow their own musical sensibilities. Above all, I love sharing with my students the joy that playing the classical guitar can add to their lives.

Brad is an expert in classical guitar. He has studied with many great teachers, performed in many master classes and is an experienced performer. He knows over 8 hours of classical repertoire from many great composers including: Bach, Villa Lobos, Brouwer, and Tarrega. He techniques for memorizing music is second to none. He has a deep understand of: technique, minimizing motion, tone, nails, fretboard, sight reading, interpretation, and historical practices. He knows all the small details that makes the difference between a good performance and a great one.

The classical guitar is a rich and powerful instrument that has a long history. It has been developed like many instruments such as the piano, and today the guitar has a very powerful influence on modern music. However, the beautiful sounds from the past eras of music, Renaissance, Baroque, and Romanic composers have created wonderful and mysterious pieces that feature this incredible instrument. My goal is to help people who are interested in this type of music be able to perform and reproduce these amazing sounds.

I have spent the past 12 years of my life dedicated to the guitar. While obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Guitar performance at Oberlin Conservatory I was employed by the conservatory's secondary lessons department. This studio featured a diverse mix of college students, adults, and children. In addition I am Suzuki method certified and I was a summer instructor at the Amherst School of Guitar in Buffalo, NY. I have experience working with children from as young as 5 to as old as 65.

I have been playing guitar for over a decade and have tons of performance experience gigging in a local rock band. Combine that with a curriculum that starts with fundamentals and expands quickly into playing your favorite songs and you have a great start to beginning or expanding your guitar playing abilities.

Experienced professional teacher of 20 years, specializing in the beginner/advanced guitar, bass and also recording arts student! All ages welcome. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. You will be playing songs in no time, while building a strong foundation of note reading, music theory, ear training, sight reading, technique, composition, and more. Want to play your favorite songs? Interested in learning to write and record your own music? I will help you build a solid foundation while tailoring to your personal tastes and goals. I also offer recording, mixing and producing of songs that you have composed.

My teaching style is very in depth, but laid back. I base my lessons off the students' specific needs and abilities rather than a set curriculum. My lessons are also different in that they prepare you for all styles of music rather than one or two genres. Overall you will learn at an exponential rate. I go into details and principles that are truly the fundamentals of learning music for any instrument. But I will most importantly, do my absolute best to make learning music an easy and stress-free process.

I adopt an in-depth musical theory approach, where we learn chord progressions together and I give assigned practice to take home. I like to ask students what their objectives are, and to try to have them set goals that we work towards together.
