I have been teaching harp for over 10 years. I teach with a strong emphasis in technique, employing mostly Salzedo styles with a few French styles in hand and arm position.
I have a series of books from which I teach for all ages, all abilities. At any point I encourage the student to learn songs they like, creating an enriched atmosphere of learning.
I teach music theory, exercises, and sight-reading alongside our weekly studies of pieces and songs. I will help you find the right materials so you can enjoy your lessons!
It is my goal to have students perform pieces with comfort, strength and for memory.
My teaching philosophy is to cultivate a love for music while learning the best way to approach the instrument and learning how to play well. Like any good goal, hard work and patience are needed, but ultimately love and the pursuit of making music.
About Elizabeth
Elizabeth L. has studied music from the age of six. At nine, she began taking harp lessons with Elizabeth Motter, formerly of the Illinois Symphony and currently of the Cincinnati Symphony. Elizabeth spent many summers furthering her studies at various harp camps around the world. In the summer

I've been teaching the harp since I graduated from Juilliard and my students have accomplished such amazing things with their harp playing! In the first lesson you'll get to create that gorgeous sound that is unique to the harp and you'll learn a song or two! I have harps available for you to rent to get started. We can work out a contact-less exchange. You will need a harp to practice on. If you take in-person lessons, you won't need to bring the harp for lessons. I love working with students of all ages and levels and I can't wait to meet you and work together!
About Wendy
Wendy has been teaching private harp lessons since she graduated Juilliard and teaches lessons online and at her studio in Wilton, CT, and at Sacred Heart University. Is it hard to learn a musical instrument? That’s usually the first question
people ask. My answer? Not at all! I teach music based on the Irish/Celtic tradition. First, you'll learn to play by ear, and then when you're comfortable with where everything is on the harp, we'll move on to reading notes. Playing in the Celtic tradition is heavily based on improvisation, and learning the freedom of what it means for the music to come from within you. Learning the harp is all about welcoming music into your life, and making it a part of you.
About Kathryn
Hi there! I am a professional opera and choral singer, pianist/accompanist, and Celtic harpist. I love all animals (especially dogs), and baking goodies for my friends, family, and students! I hold an MM in Voice, summa cum laude, from UCLA's Herb Alpert School of Music, and a BA in Music, magna

As a music teacher of over 10 years I take a fun but structured approach to learning the harp. I've taught all ages and I individually work with each student to help them learn the music that they want to and reach the goals that they set for themselves. I also have a large emphasis on hand position and help my students have the very best technique so they can play their very best. We will typically start with exercises and technique and then move to music. I will then send written individual feedback after the lesson to help remind the student of what we are working on. I hope to have the chance to share my love of music with you!
About Jill
I am a harpist, pianist, arranger, composer, performer and lover of music. With over 12 years of experience teaching both piano and harp lessons. Although I graduated from Brigham Young University in Idaho with a Bachelors in visual communication, I have continued to stretch my skills as musician a

The harp has honestly taught me so many valuable lessons and I would not be the same person without it. I highly recommend it because it is a glorious instrument that will change your life. You will learn technique, theory, dynamics, and different styles of playing the harp. Anyone can play the harp regardless of age. I would say a lesson with me is encouraging, yet challenging. I would you to fall in love with the harp, just as much as I am in love with it and I also want you to feel as though you are being stretched. Happy harping!
