I believe lessons should be fun and expansive journeys. I enjoy truly connecting with each student in a light, enjoyable atmosphere. Lessons are tailored to meet each student where they are at, while still pushing them at a rate that inspires them. Positive reinforcement and constructive feedback are always used, while negative criticism is not. I specialize in teaching proper harp technique designed to allow the player to play for a lifetime! If pain arises from playing students will never be asked to push through pain or discomfort. Rather, we will find a different approach that works. Lastly, I love working with students on pieces they really love. No piece of music is off limits! We can make any song work on the harp!

Liza is extremely flexible and patient. She has tailored each lesson to my specific needs and has given me tools I needed to make me a better harp player. She chooses pieces that challenge me and has allowed me to chose from several different pieces/styles that I would enjoy learning, too. If I had to miss a lesson for some reason she went above-and-beyond to accommodate a make-up lesson. I chose Eleonora as my 11-year-old daughter's harp instructor, and we've been really pleased and enriched by the experience. Early on, my daughter experienced an affinity for this instrument, and I've been very impressed by Eleonora's technique and teaching style and how she helps cultivate my daughter's organic joy and interest in this beautiful instrument. Eleonora is excellent with children, explaining music ideas in a way a child can understand, digest, and incorporate. She meets my daughter where ever is needed and has a great sense for this. When my daughter was learning something new, she told Eleonora, "This is hard." Eleonora responded casually and authoritatively: "There is no hard, only new." This, and the emphasis on practice, really eased my daughter who likes to get everything right the first time and needs this kind of reframing and encouragement when experiencing a new challenge. As an artist myself, I really appreciate this approach and philosophy, but most importantly, I can see my daughter does, too. Whether you're an adult learning for the first time or you have a child who has interest, let your musical lives be enriched by this patient, knowledgeable instructor.

I’ve been one of Eleonora’s first students and I’ve studied harp with her for 4 years. It has been very rewarding.
I was always looking forward to her lessons: she inspired us to practice for competitions and she always encouraged me to play in front of an audience, giving the very best of my self.
Playing the harp has always been a great joy for me thanks to her lessons.

Eleonora Pellegrini is a great professional!
She has been my daughter’s harp teacher for two years: she’s very talented! She’s a special person, she is very skilled both playing and teaching the harp.
She changed my daughter’s life, who know has an excellent knowledge of music basics.

As a harp teacher, all of my
students play scales, arpeggios, and technical exercises in
their lessons. I believe having a strong technical base is the foundation for
every part of playing and you can't learn without it. I will set the repertoire
for students according to their technical progress and although I may
take into consideration a student's desires to learn a certain piece, there has
to be time and they have to be ready for it. I have both short term and long
term goals for each student that involve theory, technical ability, and
repertoire both orchestral and solo. Adult students still have to learn
technique, it makes things much more fun and easy six months later, I promise! Beginning students will learn how to read notes, understand basic theory, and technique in a short amount of time, so don't be scared if you have never had a music lesson before.

I require all students make
at least an hour a day commitment to practice. I teach mostly the ...

"Jill is an engaging teacher for my 11-year-old daughter. My daughter has had harp lessons before, but Jill's energetic personality and enthusiasm has rekindled her interest in playing. Jill is organized and an effective communicator. We have appreciated that practice goals between lessons are clearly outlined at the end of each lesson."

She recognizes and calls forth my previous musical training and with positive instruction shows me how to apply toward my learning of harp technique. I have had a passion to play the harp for quite some time. My first lesson with Alexandra gave me the opportunity to realize my potential for the harp and I feel supported moving forward."

"Mrs. Sara has been teaching my daughters since for over 3 years. It's has been an incredible experience and has developed into a lifelong love of music for them. Not only is she a talented musician, Mrs. Sara has an amazing presence with children of all ages (my youngest is 6 and my oldest is almost 19) and the patience required for teaching young children. We absolutely love learning from her and I have even picked up a few things even though I haven't taken lessons myself. We couldn't have asked for better instructor and have recommended her to many friends. We have had harp, piano, voice, ear training and some guitar lessons from her and she has been an excellent instructor in all aspects and subjects."

"I have known Pam Irwin for the past 14 years. I remember praying to find instrumental music teachers for my daughters when they were in the first and third grades. I was looking to find flute and harp teachers and was thrilled to find an extremely qualified and caring teacher for both of them! Pam is a multitalented, skilled musician who has many years of experience in teaching private music lessons. She was the only teacher for my girls for harp and flute and took them from the beginning to the advanced levels. She was especially gifted in working with my daughters to play duets together. Pam utilized recitals as well as numerous other opportunities to perform at churches, orchestras, weddings, and other social events of which they have continued on their own. Pam instilled a lifelong love of music in my daughters and their music education has continued to the present while they are in college. I highly recommend Pam Irwin as a top choice music instructor for children, youth, and adults of any age."

PLUS I'm a student at Therapy Harp Training Program and she's a certified therapeutic harp practitioner! I couldn't have asked for a better teacher to guide me in this specialized field. She's a gifted teacher and I highly recommend her!!"
