I've been teaching Classical Guitar for about 3 years now and Basically what you would get from learning this style is the original way on how to play guitar, theory within music, build your ear, learn how to read music and build independence in both hands but at the same time teaching them how to play together. Ultimately you learn many things from focusing on one.

About Christopher

Christopher J. has been playing guitar for 14 years and has studied and performed genres such as classical, jazz, cumbia, Latin, Spanish, Brazilian, rock and pop. He has performed with many different artists/bands and has composed for a variety of styles. While in high school Christopher studied C

Chris is the most understanding, invested, and patient guitar teacher I have ever had. I have been playing for 11 years, and about 6 years into that I began learning classical guitar from Chris. He was able to teach me anything from beginner level until I was ready for advanced techniques. Very responsible and the best experience I’ve had with any guitar teacher.

Chris is a CHEAT - he took our money and just vanished - made up many excuses via canceling classes and ultimately stopped responding to texts. He broke both my kid's confidence and till now they are very sad!

It is an acoustical wooden guitar with strings made of nylon, rather than the metal strings used in acoustic and electric guitars.

You will learn how to play the classical guitar. Lessons you will learn is how to hold the guitar, move your fingers, play melodies, exercises and learn compositions. Also you will learn the basics like rhythm notation, time signatures, reading tablature, fretboard diagrams and reading notations. All styles and lessons will include the basics.

My time with Rich was really strong. I took lessons from Rich for a short while when living in Connecticut. The time I spent with him was VERY helpful to me as a novice guitar player. Rich has an unbelievable knowledge of the instrument and is quite an accomplished player. He is a really strong instructor and genuinely wants his students to get better.

In short, Rich is a very talented instructor/player and I would definitely take lessons from him again.

After her list lesson she called me and said she was very glad I picked Diego for her instructor, he has the patience that she'd hope for. They both sang together in Spanish it was awesome and she is very excited to continue her classes with Diego.. So I'm going to bumper her up to 45 min. Instead of 30 min on her next set of classes. Thanks Diego for helping make my Mom's dreams of playing classical guitar come true.... her daughter...Susie"
