Making music is such an incredible creative outlet and songwriting allows you to bring your own story and individuality to the music that you make. In lessons with me, I will give you the building blocks to expand on your songwriting and create interesting and complex songs. We will work with various accompaniment styles in your instrument of choice to move beyond simple chords and structures. We will use music theory to understand how to create songs and melodies that work harmoniously and to build upon the base of a loose song structure, and we will learn about lyrical flow and how to create beautiful lyrics that roll off the tongue rhythmically. Once we have built a song from the base up, or if you already have a finished song, then we can work together to analyze it and improve on it through these techniques and create a beautiful finished piece! I also have experience with recording and producing music, so I can teach you to bring your song to fruition in a polished and ...

I loved my lessons with Omar! He's very knowledgable, and not just about the instrument but music in general. He worked with me for about 7 months to help achieve my goal of learning to improvise on the bass guitar. Omar is very easy to talk to and very funny. He knew how to take complicated music theory and really break it down so that I could understand it better. I left each lesson with an assignment, a technique or a song to practice what we learned in that week's lesson.

I feel very comfortable with being able to be at a jam session and play along with the rest of the group. He taught me how to come up with licks using factorials, how to create a solo using modes and adding some flavor to the solos with techniques such as pop and slap or changing the tempo.

Thank you, Omar, for being such a great teacher! I feel much more confident in myself as a bass player because of the time you spent with me and all of the knowledge you departed onto me. I am very appreciative of you for that - thanks again!

My son loves his lessons, he gets really nervous prior because he always wants to get it right however, he likes the fact he’s at home and no one is watching him as he’s learning! As his parents we like that as a military family that will be moving again this is something that we can keep normal for him since it’s done online as well! Paul Neatherly is wonderful with him as well and very patient! I recommend this service and Paul to anyone looking for this type of learning!

"Fernando is one of the best vocal coaches around. He is a great vocalist and coach, but what I love most about working with him is his patience, guidance and support. He takes the time to fully understand what it is his clients are trying to accomplish and creates his lessons based on this. In other words, he works to help you achieve the best vocals given your chosen genre. I've worked with other vocal coaches and some of them just have a pre made lesson, which is fine, but I like the fact Fernando structures the lessons base on my style and what I am trying to achieve. If you do POP, he helps you with POP, if you do R&B he helps you with R&B etc etc.. but around you, not just some basic pre-boxed lessons.

He is brilliant when it comes to writing music and helping come up with new ideas for songs. He once taught me a game for writing lyrics about 4 years ago that to this day I still use in my sessions.

I continue to use the teachings he has given me in my music career and with my clients when we are in the studio recording. He is my number 1 recommendation when clients ask for a vocal coach."

If it weren't for the internet I would have never found such a talented songwriter to help me tighten my songs. I love, love, LOVE the time I spend with Fawn hashing out my songs to record with my band in the studio. She is so gifted, easy going, precise and fun.
