I am new to playing the flute, self-taught for 8 months. Cooper is very personable and I think he spotted my weaknesses quickly. He was very encouraging and gave me a mixture of exercises working on the beginnings of listening and playing with another musician as well as fingering. He is going to get some theory in as well, so that’s hitting all of what is essential for me to move forward.

My first lesson with Randy went very well! He gave some clear objectives and areas of focus where I can improve my speaking voice, and where we'll focus on future lessons, based on our first phone call alone. At the same time though he made it clear that at any time I want to work on something else, we can change gears and do that instead. I appreciate him setting clear goals and objectives, while being fluid and he gained my confidence as an instructor right away! We worked on a couple of concepts in the first lesson and he used a few different techniques and tools to make these easy to understand.
