Greg quickly assessed the starting point for our lessons. He said it was helpful that I had filled out the survey form in advance of the first lesson. He seems to have a good balance between correct form and good sound. I’m looking forward to working with him.

I had no clue how to play a bass guitar. I was fortunate thru the college he was teaching at to be honored to have Scott teach me at my beginner level, the basics of bass guitar. His patience with me was much appreciated as again, this was new to me and at the time being 69 years old, I wasn’t a quick learner. After several sessions, I was able to play basic cords, study the notes on the frets thru his lesson plan. I was sad that Scott left the college for NYC, but was very happy for him as he wanted to pursue his masters degree. Thanks to his patience and excellent teaching skills, I was able to continue lessons with another instructor and not embarrass myself as I had minute skills that helped me become a little more than a beginner. I am still going at it and loving every second but it was Scott’s patience and teaching skills that kept the fire lit to continue pursuing my love of the bass guitar. I can’t thank Scott enough and I wish him well with his goal of a master’s degree.

Scott is a great teacher and an even better friend. His background in music makes him unlike any other instructor. I’d highly recommend him to anyone, at any skill level.

I will teach you or your child all of the knowledge and tools needed to do whatever your dream is on your instrument. My aim is to help every student achieve their personal goals on their instrument within the context of a relaxed and patient environment that promotes a love of music!

Having not had a guitar lesson in almost 50 years, Chris made it easy to talk bout my goals, and immediately show me some techniques and licks that will be helpful. Also really appreciate the recorded video of the lesson and extra materials he sent as follow up.

Chris took the time to find out my goals and where I was at as far as skill level, then tailored the lessons to be fun yet challenging. Looking forward to more lessons.

Outstanding teacher. I have had literally 20 teachers in my 40 years of on and off guitar playing and Chris is by far the best. He works to you and your capabilities and not to his pre-planned lessons. You feel no guilt and want to learn and push yourself more. I have progressed more with him than any instructor so far. Will is a great teacher. He's friendly and makes it easy to learn. I would highly suggest him as a teacher.

When it comes to arranging and composing music, I sometimes feel like I fall short as a musician. I usually have a multitude of ideas and some sections written in my head but I struggle with piecing everything together in a coherent way, luckily I have had the pleasure of knowing Will for a number of years, and thankfully he has helped me in this area time and time again, and the finished product is always better than the initial concept. He has a remarkable capability to recive musical ideas from others and weave those ideas into a final arrangement without straying far from the initial ideas. Like I said, I've worked with him a couple times in the past and I'll work with him again every opportunity I can, because the quality of his work and the final product is always remarkable.
David
Will helped me learn the structure of guitar chords and scales while answering any questions that I had when beginning guitar. Throughout my lessons he gave me information about chord diagrams and scale diagrams while putting an emphasis on a guitar's fretboard layout and individual notes. This knowledge allowed me to progress and learn even more about how to properly play and enjoy the guitar. The instruction was done objectively, with attention to detail, and was a great experience.

I also look forward to learning more about musical programs and production thanks to Will.

As a teacher, I work to ensure your experience is educational and fun. I use a straightforward approach to teaching theory and technique, with a three-part lesson plan adapting to your skill level and interest:

1 Proficiencies: Playing scales, arpeggios, chords, chord inversions, chords with bass lines, chord melody chord progressions, techniques, basic music theory, and more.

2 Reading: Identifying single notes in all positions, reading chord symbols, and reading chords and melody together. Reading rhythms.

3 Song Repertoire: Learning and appreciating songs, understanding the theory used in the song development, incorporating emotions and dynamics into the song, and learning how to apply learned proficiencies to master the songs and add personal improvisational touches to the songs.

Each student is monitored with a checklist that follows the three categories so we can identify strengths and weaknesses as students progress through different musical styles. The checklists help ...

"My daughter, age 9, had been taking guitar classes with a local face to face teacher for a year yet I felt that she hadn't accomplished much. Through a series of questions from Tanesha she was able to create and tailor the lessons that best suited her learning skills & her skill level. In the other class, she hadn't even played a full song. However, through Tanesha she was able to play happy birthday just in time for her Grandmother's bday with in a month. She is also very good at informing you of their progress. This was our first time taking online classes and it has been a wonderful experience thus far. I highly recommend Tanesha!"

"I am having lessons with Devin almost every week for a while now. We have lessons at his studio and online. Both locations are great.
For me, there are pros to having both location options available depending on my schedule that morning.
His way of teaching is great. I'm an adult and never played a guitar before. And I feel he has an enormous amount of patients. But he is not afraid to introduce something new. If I tell him I'm not clear with something we learned last time he will repeat it. And go it over with me. Technically he really had me playing songs very soon in the lessons. But I'm not necessarily the fastest learner so the most important thing is my responsibility.
Practice Practice Practice.

I recommend Devin to any one that wants to start learning guitar. Or needs to improve.
As I mentioned before, I'm an adult. But I could only imagine he'd do great with children.

Oh, I just reminded my self one more nice thing about Devin the teacher. When I'm with him, or online with him. For some reason he makes me feel like the lessons he provides are created for me. Not just random lessons. he goes according to my pace."

Paul is really a friendly and down-to-earth guy who you can tell really enjoys teaching. Paul recommends teaching some theory as well as songs, and he makes theory learning interesting and fun. For someone who's never picked up a guitar before I feel he's building a great foundation for years of enjoyment."
