Ear Training Lessons in Dundalk. Amazing Teachers.

I am a Musician by profession and has been teaching Ear Training and Music Theory to students in a Lower Elementary and Middle School level. Here, you will learn to use solfege to help you internalize the music you hear and then easily transpose melodies to different keys. Learn to hear melody and then write it down. Develop your memory for melodies and rhythms. Listening is the most important skill in music.

Ear training is an essential skill for instrument learning. From years of playing horn and conservatory theory, I have gained experience in aural recognition. We will work on prepared and sight-singing along with dictation as a fundamental part of the lesson.

Ear training is an incredibly important part of any musician's skillset, and I have studied ear training with a curriculum adapted from Juilliard and Conservatoire de Paris. My students learn to identify intervals, chords, and rhythms, and also learn to sing printed music without hearing it first.

I will teach Moveable DO.

Will we start fro simple major melodies, and then progress from there.
We can go as far as atonal music. In between we will study minor, and all of the modes.
A main tool for ear trainmen will be sight singing using the syllables (do,re,me,fa,etc) We will also focus on dictation of melodies rhythms and chords.

I will mainly be teaching using the methods of Berklee College of Music. Going further, we can work on transcription, and applying ear training skills to real musical scenarios. Studying ear training on a deep level will enhance one’s musical potential in a simple, easy to understand way.

Learn all intervals, what the intervals are called in theory, how to determine chord quality, how to determine chord progression and how to figure out a melody on your own just by listening.
