Mr. Tarantola has taught my three kids to play piano and to read music. Their confidence in their music abilities has grown over the years as they continue to learn. The skills they learned with Mr. Tarantola has helped them in school music, band and in learning new instruments such as drum set and clarinet. Mr. Tarantola has the ability and personality to teach all ages including new beginners such as I - who began lessons in my 40's. Highly recommend!

Andrew has been a wonderful guitar teacher. I started as a beginner at age 40, and have developed many skills to play songs. His approach is to learn the songs you love, so you learn through playing not drills. However, I have asked for some drills to improve my knowledge of rhythm and lead guitar. His instruction style is easy to follow and allows for growth. I play in front of friends all the time and they are impressed with my playing abilities. I would recommend Andrew to any new or experienced guitar player.

"Rich is top notch! My daughter has taken banjo and guitar (acoustic and electric) with him for about 6 years. She has also had several excellent teachers over the years, in piano, violin, and voice and great theory instruction in general. But when it came time for college auditions, she attributed a large part of her success in the theory portion to Rich's preparation. What's most special about Rich is that, even while he's teaching the theory, he ALWAYS keeps it fun. He's has a great formula - scales/theory, a little music history, songs/technique, fun. We'd give him 10 stars if we could."

"The thing I really like about Jon's teaching is that he is able to take a complex idea or technique and teach it in its most basic and simplest form. He taught me a lot about guitar improvisation and broke it down into fundamental licks or core phrases that could be used and applied to many different areas of the guitar. In addition, he's a super down to earth dude and anyone who is interested in the guitar or music in general should consider taking lessons from him."

Don’t get me wrong, there is something extremely satisfying about plugging in …
