Tom is very patient with younger students that get distracted easily. One of my children is very interested in learning Irish folk music and Tom is great about helping him explore his interests in music. I love having lessons in home. It's very convient and allows me to keep my toddler entertained while my other children are doing lessons. Lessons are also affordable. I would definitely recommend Tom!

Liza is extremely flexible and patient. She has tailored each lesson to my specific needs and has given me tools I needed to make me a better harp player. She chooses pieces that challenge me and has allowed me to chose from several different pieces/styles that I would enjoy learning, too. If I had to miss a lesson for some reason she went above-and-beyond to accommodate a make-up lesson. She has always been very encouraging and I have loved having her has my harp teacher! --Olivia (14 years old)

Private Harp Teacher

As a music teacher of over 10 years I take a fun but structured approach to learning the harp. I've taught all ages and I individually work with each student to help them learn the music that they want to and reach the goals that they set for themselves. I also have a large emphasis on hand position and help my students have the very best technique so they can play their very best. We will typically start with exercises and technique and then move to music. I will then send written individual feedback after the lesson to help remind the student of what we are working on. I hope to have the chance to share my love of music with you!

About Jill

I am a harpist, pianist, arranger, composer, performer and lover of music. With over 12 years of experience teaching both piano and harp lessons. Although I graduated from Brigham Young University in Idaho with a Bachelors in visual communication, I have continued to stretch my skills as musician and teacher.

I perform frequently and love sharing my passion for the harp and piano through teaching so others can also experience having these beautiful instruments in their lives.

I teach piano and harp students of all different ages and experience levels, although I have an especially great love for teaching children and youth. I studied classical piano for over 12 years, and classic harp for over 11 years. A huge part of my music education was focused on theory and as a result I have a great love of having a strong foundation in musica

l theory.

I strive to help my students develop a love music that can last throughout their entire life while still learning proper technique and theory. I try to help students set individual goals and then structure lessons to help these students reach each of their dreams.

Practicing can be hard for any student, but playing music you enjoy can help you stick with it. To inspire my students, I find or arrange music they both enjoy and that will help them progress. I've found that this not only motivates students but also adds an extra fun aspect to our lessons and practices.

My passion is sharing my love of music with those around me. Schedule your first harp lesson with me today!

Sonja’s enthusiasm for the harp and for music, in general, is contagious! Sonja has a lot of patience for beginning harp players. She offers a good mix of “performance” pieces and exercises to keep the practices (and lessons!) both fun and moving in the right direction! After watching me play for only a few minutes, Sonja has the distinct ability of being able to determine where and how I can instantly improve, which she always offers in a positive, constructive format. Sonja makes me feel like I can conquer any piece. I would highly recommend Sonja to anyone considering harp lessons!!

My daughter has been taking Harp and piano lessons from Sonja for about a year. Sonja takes the time to work with her orchestra director to adapt pieces for play. She prepares my daughter for auditions as well. Sonja is absolutely wonderful- patient, creative , reliable and responsible. Sonja earns my highest recommendation without hesitation!!

"What a great first lesson! I chose Adrienne for a harp teacher because of her description, "From the Beatles, to Bach, to the Beastie Boys..." I'm a class
ically trained guitarist, full-time guitar teacher, and contemporary guitar/vocal performer. I bought a Celtic harp last spring, thought maybe I could learn via Youtube videos. Nope. Not enough good instruction, not enough motivation. I was thrilled to find that Adrienne is BIG on technique, as I am with my guitar students. She was so encouraging throughout our Take Lessons Classroom session! I have a lot of practicing to do before next week's lesson, and I am so psyched!"

"I am a beginner harp student at the age of 64, and also a Professor with fairly high expectations. I wasn't sure what to expect from a young teacher like
Becca. Within minutes I could tell she is a natural at teaching the harp. What impressed me the most was that she understands every person learns differently. She is sensitive and thus listens to the student's comments and intuitively knows how to respond in the best way. She also has a lot of patience - being a perfectionist I wanted to repeat over and over certain movements and Becca was right there with me, giving me fresh guidance along the way. I learned so much with her and will always remember our lessons with gratitude."
