Private Ear Training Teacher

Ear Training is a must for learning any musical Instrument. During the course of Guitar, Piano and Vocal Lessons, if chosen, I train the student to listen to specific musical relationships that guide the students ears to hear and understand note, chord and scale fundamentals that are that are used in many song formats. Integrating ear training with instrument and vocal training enhances the teaching process quite a bit. If ear training is desired on its own, I use a piano to provide a complete understanding of relative and absolute pitch fundamentals.

ABOUT I teach guitar, piano and voice lessons professionally to all ages and skill levels. In addition, I have recording services available for on-site and remote locations. Production music demos can be recorded for all interested students. I provide audio consulting and coaching if requested.

The development of the ear is crucial to becoming a a good musician. Can you tell if you are in harmony with the other musicians? Can you tell if you are consonant or dissonant? Can you recognize a perfect fifth? A Major third? These skills CAN be developed into a finely honed tool!! Trevor is the real deal! He takes the time to get to know you and listen to what your needs may be or what you desire to accomplish in the lessons.
Then he breaks it down and takes the speed you are comfortable in learning and does not overwhelm you. I feel very comfortable with him and I am tons more advanced then I could even imagine. "I needed help singing in the church choir. Rebekah was amazing and personally took the time to teach me and work with me to help me to be able to sing in the choir on Christmas Eve. She was very patient and never criticized, but gently taught me to sing various styles of notes. I'm not a musical person, so I can't really get the terminology right, but she helped me to be able to located the different notes in the hymnal as I was singing. On Christmas Eve, with Rebekah's lessons, I accomplished what we had set out to do and was able to sing in the Christmas Eve service.

I've also known Rebekah personally for a long time now. She is full of personality and is exciting to be around. She is very professional and kind to all of her students. She is patient, considerate, and her students thrive under her supervision.
