Charles is highly approachable and extremely knowledgeable. He walks the perfect line between making his students feel comfortable whilst also pushing them to become better in every single session.
I got a solid grasp of the basics of music theory and was able to fully improvise in different scales at the end of the course. The growth I had was tremendous - all thanks to Charles' guidance.
Charles will take the time to fully understand the needs, goals and struggles of his students. He will be there for them inside and outside of class time because he genuinely cares about music and his students becoming better.

My goal as an instructor is to keep the lessons fresh, fun, interesting, and to ultimately guide the students to better teach themselves as they gain experience and familiarity with the instrument and music. Students can have their lessons catered to the music and styles they wish to pursue. Lessons are tailored to each individual student so that we can build upon their strengths and focus on lessons to improve weaker areas. Students will learn how to build dexterity, use proper technique, and be creative. Every student has different goals, some really want to learn theory and read music. Others may simply want to learn to strum a few chords. Whatever the goal, I can provide the instructions to help the student succeed!

John is a great teacher, encouraging, knowledgeable and flexible. I would recommend him for any level of lessons."

I have had the pleasure of lessons from Jesse Horner for two years. I started when I was 73 years old and never had any music training before, so I started from scratch. Jesse has been great in guiding me in the direction I seemed to want to go. With almost 40 years experience, I think Jesse has experience and knowledge of every aspect of music theory, guitars and guitar playing(also Ukuleles). He makes the lessons enjoyable and is very flexible and understanding in his teaching process. My main regret is that I did not start with him when I was much younger!
