I began learning the drums 20 years ago, and have spent the last 12 years sharing that knowledge with students. I’ve taught students from ages 7 - 50 +, all with various sets and and goals. Over the last 10 years, I've been fortunate to travel with world with various rock bands, and have learned from many experienced live players. My goal is to teach you the fundamentals of the instrument, while demonstrating how those fundamentals work in a real musical way.

First timers, advanced players, children, adults let's dig in and have some fun on the drums! Drawing on my experience from the stage and training in music school I will be happy to be your guide to discover your personal relationship with music.

I believe that drumming is a universal practice for joy, health, communication and discipline available for anybody...any age...any brain...any body.

Experienced Music teacher of 8 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of their instrument and theory skills. I specialize in all styles. Typically, I use a variety of method books to pick from to meet the needs of the students. I also have many tools available to use during lessons.
My students have gone on to NYSSMA and on to college auditions successfully!

Teaching students how to play with bands and read music are both important. I've played over 30 years and taught over 20 of those years. Grooves, coordination, reading and soloing are all aspects of what I teach from mostly my own books. I combine having fun with the commitment of practicing into a well rounded learning experience. I have recitals for students to show off their talents 1-2 times yearly. I'm versatile in teaching new drummers or advanced students. I look forward to our lessons.
