Experienced in contemporary song writing, as well as writing and arranging music for church worship music, choral music, strings, and classical guitar. Experienced in both playing and recording by ear, as well as writing down formal music charts and scores.

About Geoff

I played on a toy piano when I was very young, learning a bit of sight reading from my Mother, while listening to classical, jazz, and rock music. When I was 12, I learned guitar and later took private piano lessons from a prominent Philadelphia instructor. After playing in a rock band in high sc

I totally enjoyed my class with Geoff. We immediately started my lesson with tuning the ukulele. Then we went over the cords and strumming. I have been researching on playing the ukulele and his explanation on the strumming was a lot better than the book. He is teaching me how to play by listening to the notes which is great because I would be able to play the Hawaiian music for my hula classes. In addition, his studio is only a 5 minute drive from my house, which means I don’t have to deal with traffic.

David enjoys teaching students from all different backgrounds and levels of proficiency. Whether you are just starting out or a virtuoso shredder in the making, he is happy to teach you! Over all, he is fairly laid back, as long as you practice. He usually combines work with reading off of the treble clef (what he likens to "eating your vegetables." You may not want to do it, but it will make you a healthier musician!) with learning more popular songs (or songs the student says they would like to learn) through tablature and chord charts, depending on the style of the song.

David is also very pro music theory. He usually incorporates music theory into the curriculum in conjunction with the material already being discussed. He is also very knowledgeable about composition/songwriting, and if the student is interested in learning more about this area, he is happy to share what he knows!

About David

David is a successful singer/songwriter/guitarist out of Fairfax, VA. He has a bachelor's degree in Music with a concentration in composition from Salisbury University, where he also studied jazz and classical guitar . In the 25 years he has been performing (20 of those professionally) and playin

I had to switch the lesson to in-home roughly 3 hours before the scheduled lesson. David was great and accommodating. He gave me a crash course on scales, which I didn't know anything about, and explained them so that I actually started to understand.

My first lesson with David was excellent! He is very patient and knowledgeable. I now have extremely high expectations for learning to play the guitar. I highly recommend him. He gave me a thorough explanation about how guitars are made made, the parts, we tuned the guitar and I am ready to groove!

Jonathan is truly outstanding. I was fortunate enough to meet him and begin working on guitar again with him in person when he lived in Virginia. He was so helpful I have continued lessons online and I continue to feel the quality and what I'm getting out of the lessons is as good as when we were able to be in the same room. The best thing I can probably say is that I have really enjoyed learning from such an accomplished musician while never feeling intimidated or thinking, "he must think I really stink at this!" He's very supportive and will make you a better player...whatever that means to you.

Allen was an amazing Piano teacher. Its been over a year since I have taken lessons with him but the knowledge, technique, and material he taught me I still take with me to this day. Anyone can simply memorize how to play a song but he teaches you the intuition you need to truly play Piano. Music is not something that was easy for me to get, but I can personally say after taking lessons with him I understand Piano and what music really is a lot more than what I did before. He has his recommended way of learning and curriculum, but he really does align his teaching process based on the way the student learns. He is very patient. Sometimes it would take a while for me to catch on to something, but he was always very patient and encouraging which was very helpful for me overcoming challenges. Overall, a great teacher that really understands his students.

"Fernando is one of the best vocal coaches around. He is a great vocalist and coach, but what I love most about working with him is his patience, guidance and support. He takes the time to fully understand what it is his clients are trying to accomplish and creates his lessons based on this. In other words, he works to help you achieve the best vocals given your chosen genre. I've worked with other vocal coaches and some of them just have a pre made lesson, which is fine, but I like the fact Fernando structures the lessons base on my style and what I am trying to achieve. If you do POP, he helps you with POP, if you do R&B he helps you with R&B etc etc.. but around you, not just some basic pre-boxed lessons.

He is brilliant when it comes to writing music and helping come up with new ideas for songs. He once taught me a game for writing lyrics about 4 years ago that to this day I still use in my sessions.

I continue to use the teachings he has given me in my music career and with my clients when we are in the studio recording. He is my number 1 recommendation when clients ask for a vocal coach."

"Indigo is a fabulous and diverse teacher! I've been taking lessons with her for about 9 months. Although my lessons are "officially" for songwriting, we divide our time among that, guitar technique, and music theory. I've experienced so much progress and fun in several areas, and I attribute that to Indigo's teaching and guidance. I even wrote and produced my first solo song! Don't miss the chance to work with a great musician and teacher!"

"I have had the pleasure of playing, and practicing, with Mr. Cris over the last few years. We actually took guitar class together in high school, and even then, I could tell that he was exceptionally talented. Given his family background in music, and his desire to create wonderful compositions, it was no surprise that he chose to pursue music in his life. Recently I have needed assistance with my songwriting and I have had no hesitation in bringing my work to Cris in order to gain insight into what I may need o do in order to successfully finish my composition(s). He is well educated in music, has learned from many accomplished professionals, and is extremely hard working in his craft. And finally, Cris is very patient, insightful, and motivated, when working, and/or teaching, individuals. I would highly recommend him to anyone of all ages."

"Amazing teacher

I have been working with Jan for about four weeks now, and already, I'm changing the direction in which I am chasing my dreams. The fact that she is experienced in every genre of acting, songwriting, music production, and singing, makes her the best possible teacher to receive lessons from. She is the type of teacher that doesn't care about going over the time limit just to further explain something, listen to what you have to say or to give more direction. She has written her own book on songwriting called, "Once More With Feeling" where she explains everything in great detail, step by step. Anything you want to work on, she will be right behind you all the way. I had so many doubts about taking an online course in singing for many reasons, but I was SO WRONG. Instead of getting a decent teacher that you can work with face to face in your area, get the BEST teacher and work with her in the convenience of your own home. It's worth it, plus cheaper! She is to say the least, phenomenal, I am already seeing results and I only just had my fourth lesson. She has a reputation for making artists' celebrity status, with just a little drive and persistence you could have a worthwhile time learning with Jan."
