Hand drumming is so much more than just beating a drum. There is an essence about it that speaks through your soul. Lessons with me will be a unique experience because along with learning the basic fundamentals of hand drumming, but we will learn how to listen to those around us in order to have an all encompassing experience. It will be light, fun, informative, and we will go at whatever pace feels good for you, the student! I've been around drumming and drum circles for over ten years now and have come to have a very individual, impactful style for those around me. I look forward to sharing what I know!

My lessons are both fun and educational, with flexibility to honor each student's needs and goals. During my time as a drummer, I have had the pleasure of studying music with Dr. Richard Ripani, Eddie Bell, and renowned big band drummer Duffy Jackson in Nashville, TN. I graduated in May 2017 with a degree in Studio Music/Jazz Performance at UT Knoxville, studying with Professor Keith Brown. I want to pass on all the knowledge I gained from them to you! Fun drum lessons! I've had the pleasure of teaching hundreds of private students of all ages and skill levels for the past 21 years. I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music. I've taught master classes for the California Percussive Arts Society and the Jazz School in Berkeley. I've also taught 4th-8th grade classroom music and intro & elementary concert band and Bandworks rock ensembles for kids and adults. Additionally I've taught kindergarten and pre school music.
