I have been teaching drums for over 20 years I specialize in heavy-metal drumming with fast double bass but also can show students how to play any style country blues jazz rock and incorporate techniques from marching band and all the rudiments needed for drums

About Charles
I am an international recording artist and seasoned performer. I have been playing music since the early age of 8 yrs old. I have always been inspired by music and love to inspire others with music. Some of my accomplishments include putting an album out with Universal Records as a Nashville recording artist, having over 7 albums out internationally, and recording and playing with some of the biggest names in the music industry. I am a classically trained musician as well as an innovative and experienced teacher. I have been teaching for over 15 years and have seen many of my students go on to become top-notch performers themselves while pursuing successful careers in music. In addition to being a private music teacher, I have also taught at many schools in the valley including the Center for Educational Excellence School, Grand Canyon Pr
eparatory private charter school and the Arizona Music Academy. I teach all levels of guitar, bass, and drums and tailor every lesson to the individual student’s needs and personality. My annual recitals are live-performance concerts featuring bands and other performing groups formed from among my students along with solo performances. My students also perform regularly throughout the community and are successful in their musical endeavors at all ages. I teach a wide range of genres and styles from classical music, blues, jazz and rock to heavy metal with an emphasis on becoming A-Level lead guitar soloists and song writers. I teach songwriting skills, music theory, and have even helped many of my guitar students be able to sing better while learning their main instrument.

*** Lesson Details ***
I make my lessons fun and informative and have had many students stay with me for up to 7 years. I show you everything you will ever need to know about music theory but in a very useful applicable way. I teach popular songs from any artist and classics that have stood the test of time and show you how to become a great song writer of your own giving you an insider’s knowledge about how to perform and have the audience standing asking for more. No matter if you want to become a pro lead guitar player or just play to have fun I can show you how to sing and play the guitar or piano at the same time or singing songs from church as well as your favorite rock or pop songs with confidence.

*** Travel Equipment ***
Just my own guitar and amp they need their own equipment.

*** Specialties ***
Classical, flamenco, rock, heavy metal guitar. I have also developed new classical guitar techniques that I call the "trem" stroke and the "harpeggio"

Kept missing class without any heads up so I had to just wait around and hope he'll show up, ignored my calls and messages to reschedule, so I had to just get a refund from TakeLessons. As a teacher he is good, but very unprofessional behavior in terms of accountability and respect for students' time.

Lessons are customized for the students based on their interest and experience. I will cover the basics and rudiments with new students but allow them to create and follow their own musical path using a variety of methods and musical styles.
Learn to read, write, and play different styles of music with accompanying techniques and fills to add to your groove development.

About Aaron
Teaching drums professionally since 1998, Aaron has influenced hundreds of budding musicians to get the most from their instrument. He has studied privately with Rob Laytham (Modern Drummer columnist), Joe Leroux (marching band guru), Gary Chaffe (legendary drummer) and many others throughout the years. He has taken the best techniques and teaching styles from his influences and molded them together to form what he considers to be the most effective and inspiring method available.

I teach drum set in nearly every style and hybrid imaginable, as well as percussion and drum circle facilitation.

Accomplishments include recording 7 albums with various groups, touring with national acts across the west coast, drumming for the Warner Brothers Television house band, and still actively playing live shows and recording.

*** Lesson Deta
ils ***
I put my focus on inspiring students to explore their own creativity with the tools and techniques that I give to them and nurture.
I think it is very important to cover the basic skills that the school districts expect from their music students (sight reading, proper technique, note recognition, rudiments, timing, feel, etc.).
I also feel it is important for a student to find his or her style and an ability to use the fundamentals to create music that they enjoy.
He has written a method book based on the fundamentals of playing a rhythmic instrument with an emphasis on allowing the student to find their niche and lead a group through a piece of music or tastefully support it.

My studios are fully equipped with sound systems, the latest recording gear, acoustic and electric sets, hand drums and dozens of other percussion instruments. I believe that the more resources a person can draw from, be it intellectual or physical, the more fulfilling the learning experience will be.

Each lesson, my students will take at least a page of music that represents the concept that they are focusing on, and a goal set to accomplish by the end of the week so that they can build upon what they already know in an effort to put the big picture together. Ultimately the student will learn when and how to utilize the concepts that they are practicing.

*** Studio Equipment ***
A Yamaha electronic drum set in my Mesa Studio allows me to control volume and dial up any sound imaginable. I have full acoustic drum sets in other studios that I use for recording and private lessons. Often I will integrate guitar, keyboard, or other instruments in to the lessons if needed.

*** Travel Equipment ***
Sticks, Practice Pad, tuning kit, binder and books with teaching supplements.

*** Specialties ***
Music, Drums, Percussion, Theory, Composition, Piano and Guitar.
Drummers should be well versed in all genres of music. Rock, Jazz, Latin, Swing, etc.
Most of my students begin with concert and marching styles on a practice pad, then advance to the drum set.
I teach note recognition and placement, rudiments, linear playing, moeller method, rhythm theory, sub-division of notes and time, and the sight-reading to support these techniques.

Teaching students how to play with bands and read music are both important. I've played over 27 years and taught over 17 of those years. Grooves, coordination, reading and soloing are all aspects of what I teach from mostly my own books. I combine having fun with the commitment of practicing into a well rounded learning experience. I have recitals for students to show off their talents 1-2 times yearly. I'm versatile in teaching new drummers or advanced students. I look forward to our lessons.

About Danny
I've played drums about 30 years and taught lessons about 20 of those years. Each student is different and I've evolved my lessons to accommodate teaching each student. My background consists of all styles of Drumset, marching band, rock bands, soloing and Troopers drum corps. Also playing in jazz, concert and orchestra bands gave me opportunity to perform and compete many places including P.A.S., scoring a 1 @ state and G.C. drum off. I took private lessons for a few years before leaving to college in Hollywood, CA, attending M.I.(Musicians Institute) with one of my instructors becoming the current drummer for Korn, "Ray Luzier". I now teach mostly out of my own books on how to read music, coordination, grooves, soloing and playing with bands. If you are not local, I offer online lessons too. I have 1-2 recitals each year and make it pos
sible for online students to participate. Accepting beginner to advanced drummers, come check it out.

Bobby's a very enthusiastic, friendly, knowledgeable drummer who also knows how to teach well. Often times musicians don't always know how to teach their craft, talented as they may be, but Bobby certainly knows both how to play and how to teach. I'd recommend him to anyone wanting to learn or brush up on their drumming skills.

Bobby has a wealth of knowledge and passion about music and can help you learn how to play your favorite songs on drums from any genre (alternative, indie, pop, hip-hop, jazz, classic rock, dance and more). 2 months ago, I knew nothing about drums, and in just 9 lessons so far I can now play a handful of songs and grooves. I learn so much each lesson, and Bobby does everything he can to help me succeed. I highly recommend Bobby.

Hey, my name is Michael and I am a professional musician from Tampa, FL! I have been playing music for 12 years. My musical influences include artists from all different genres! I love to play rock, metal, blues, alternative, hip-hop and contemporary worship! My teaching style can best be described as fun, energetic, and song driven. I like to teach songs and allow my students to learn different concepts from those songs while also learning how to play within the context of a band. My favorite thing about teaching is watching somebody finally understand and comprehend something I'm teaching. Seeing them light up once they've "finally got it," is what I get the most fulfillment from. My goal as a teacher is to always inspire and leave people better off than when they started. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!

I get pretty excited when when my new students pick up a new groove or take a new step in developing their technique! I've been drumming for 15 years and professionally for about 5, including paid gigs and teaching in the Salt Lake region. Currently drumming and section leader at the University of Utah Drumline. I've drummed professionally in groups such as the Seattle Cascades and Weber State Indoor Percussion. I've played in many rock and metal bands in the last decade and also have a track featured with the famous drummer Luke Holland. I've taught high school percussion. I can teach anywhere from beginning to well-advanced drumming. Ranging anywhere from classical symphonic to marching drums to heavy metal drum set. You name it, I can help.

On a side note, drumming is something that never came easy to me. The first 6 years of my drumming career was spent trying to catch up to my peers and getting cut from auditions. I believe this makes me a really good teacher due to the fact ...

About Christian
Drumming is absolutely amazing. Nothing gets me more excited than when I see my students learn. I make a pretty good income outside of teaching lessons. But, I continue simply because I love doing it.
