My students will learn everything they need to know to be a successful musicians on and off the road. They will be playing along with tons of play alongs and learn from many different records from all different styles. Being a well rounded musician is what I achieve with my students.

About Sean
In 2012, I graduated from Millikin University as a Commercial Music Major. Millikin University taught me many ways of being a professional live and studio musician. I have enjoyed playing in groups of a variety of different genres, such as Jazz, Indie, Pop, Country, Rock, etc. These are the genres I would be teaching my students to make them great musicians not only in a live performance setting but in the studio as well.

I moved to Nashville, TN in 2013 and since then I have been playing for many different touring artists and have recorded on a hand full of records. I am currently playing full time with Christian Singer/ Songwriter Matthew West and have been enjoying that so much!

I started taking drum lessons at age 22 so I felt too old to begin learning how to play a new instrument. I'm so glad that Dennis was my teacher. He gave me confidence and encouragement to become the great drum player I am today. His methods of teaching are well rounded, his lesson plans are efficient and since day one he guaranteed I would be ready to play songs with a band in only 6 months. Indeed I started playing with several bands after 6 months of having lessons with Dennis. I highly recommend him as a drum teacher and mentor!

All levels taught.

Beginners: Learn basic rudiments, reading music, technique behind the kit, different genres and grooves.

Intermediate and Advanced: Techniques for improvising in jazz, rock, free improvisation, and other areas. Focus on listening and improvisation techniques. Learn to develop facility for getting around the instrument, basic polyrhythmic concepts, and techniques focused on extracting a variety of timbres from the instrument. Lessons are focused on student-directed interests for more advanced students (what are you into, what do you hope to learn?)

About Jeff
Primarily a drummer/percussionist, Jeff B. has been studying, performing, and teaching music for 20 years. Working mostly as a free improviser, rock, and jazz musician, Jeff was an active performer in and around Boston and the Northeast for seven years in a variety of bands before recently relocating to Nashville.

Jeff's lessons were perfect for me. With a careful attention to technique in a patient and calm atmosphere, I felt that I was able to really free up my playing and grow as a drummer in a short while! If you're looking for someone who makes it feel easy to grow as both a technical and creative drummer, Jeff is the one. I bet they're great with young students as well, super kind and respectful.

Basic to intermediate drum instruction. Various styles. Rock, blues, country,

About Joel
I am a fan of a wide variety of music. I am especially fond of music that provides a structure for improvisation and the unexpected results that can arise when musicians allow themselves to explore their instruments without the restrictions that typically more formulaic styles impose. However, I also enjoy music that is incredibly orchestrated and requires exact mechanics and pristine technique. Most of all, I need music to feel generous toward the listener or I lose interest very quickly. Music is a gift. It can change your life if you let it. If you are adventurous and willing to challenge yourself you can find all the treasures of the universe in the mastery of an instrument. Did I mention its a lot of fun? Pick me, you wont be disappointed.

Super great teacher all around! Gives great tips and information but is not too harsh. He puts the lesson in the student's hand and allows his students to choose what they want to work on and how. However, Ben's best quality is his all-around personality. Very nice man and treats you not as much of a student than as a friend.

I'm a full time touring musician, I studied music in school for 8 years, but I can honestly say I've learned more about music through my years as a touring musician. I find great joy in sharing all the things I've learned over the years.

I like getting to know my students; their expectations and goals as an aspiring drummer, and I build my curriculum around their needs.

In my lessons you can expect to learn, and have fun!

About Rob
I am a full time touring, recording musician who lives in Nashville TN. I graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance from Roberts Wesleyan College.
During my studies at Roberts I taught percussion and music theory at U-Prep High school for 1 year, and when I wasn't at studying or teaching, I put all my focus on recording.

In 2016 I moved to Nashville to tour with a few artists, after 4 months of traveling I decided to find a band I that I could call my own. Leading me to this moment, where I am currently on tour with my band, The Foxies, and perform with and MD for two other artist based out of Nashville.

Over the years I have traveled with many different acts; performing at Warped Tour, Sundance, SXSW, Bonaroo.

My lessons are not the same for everyone. I like to get to know my students; their personal music goals and
the ways they learn best, and I build my curriculum around that information.

Drummer with nearly 20 years experience playing in rock bands as well as in worship settings. Lessons begin with a focus on fundamentals of drumming (drum set) but can expand into what the student specifically wants to learn. We will also focus on the role of the drummer within a musical group and learn how to navigate those intricacies. Beginner and intermediate students preferred but all ages are welcome, its never too late to learn how to drum!

About Joel
I have been playing the drums for nearly 20 years, in which most of my experience is hands-on, playing in contemporary church worship teams and regional Christian rock bands with occasional teaching mixed in. Personally, my favorite style of music to play is rock/alternative but I also favor acoustic/folk styles, funky grooves, Latino rhythms, and the occasional metal, blues, or jazz beats.

No matter the musical style, playing with confidence, feeling the song, and having an awareness of other musicians can escalate you from a "good" drummer to a "great!" one; and this is what I teach my students. They will learn the fundamentals of stick position, rotary movements, basic drum hits and musical notation, as well as how to play on beat (with a "click"). These skills will enable the student to learn any style of music and increase their abi
lity to play the role of the drummer in virtually any band or musical group.

For example, the bands I have played in over the years have opened for multiple National acts like Red, Disciple, Project 86, and Decyfer Down and have played festivals and tours like Cornerstone Festival, Unity Festival, and Winter Jam, opening for Mercy Me, Jars of Clay, and Hawk Nelson. I truly believe that if you know your craft and have confidence in yourself, the sky is the limit for what you can do.

Currently, I play regularly at my local church and do worship nights and events in my area. I would be honored and pleased to work with you and help you become a great drummer!

I’ve had the privilege of playing guitar, with Joel as the drummer, in various bands. Hands down the best drummer I’ve ever played with. Joel is extremely attentive to what the rest of the band is doing which is a skill that so many drummers are missing. And he’s always on with that click track! Joel could always create whatever sounding fills I asked for, and then some. But ALWAYS tasteful. A very gifted musician.

Joel is also a man of integrity and an all around fun guy! One of my best friends on this earth!
