I bring to lessons an expansive education in music performance, theory, and composition in different styles, as well as the ability to explain and display the necessary skills in a variety of ways for a diversity of learning styles.
I teach an aggressive curriculum, but one that is tailored to each student's individual strengths and weaknesses, and I always remain gentle and patient while guiding my students through the rewarding process of learning to create music.
I enjoy so much about my work, and here are just a few elements:
-Sharing my love for music with those eager to learn the art for themselves.
-The moments when the student finds expression the music, transcending the notes as they're written on the page.
-Seeing my students perform at their recitals, where they share everything they have learned.
-Meeting so many incredible people who are all connected by a love for music!

Fawn is a warrior for justice. She rights all the wrongs of other teachers bad coaching. She turned my sons bad piano habits around in just 2 lessons! My daughter's bad vocal habits changed after the first lesson! I have never seen anything like it. We are grateful to have found her. I now have confidence that my children are in the best hands possible. I love the energy she puts into her recitals and the enormous student base she has is an affirmation that she is doing great things in California!

I love her. She is so sweet, she is amazing I would tell all my friends interested in piano, voice, music theory, songwriting or anything having to do with music, to take lessons with her. I canât believe how much I have improved on my songwriting, voice and playing. I wish I had found her sooner. She's a miracle worker. Incredible and gracious, canât say enough good things about Fawn!"

Just as writing a song on guitar can seem like work for only a select few, so can writing the words to one. Once again, this assumption and the truth are completely unrelated. You don't need to be Bob Dylan or Bernie Taupin to do it – you only need to have something to say. I first began writing lyrics as teenag …

Not sure where to start when it comes to writing songs? Check out these songwriting tips from Austin, TX teacher Gfire M... I started writing songs fairly early on at age 11, but I never thought about songwriting technique until later, when I studied with teachers from Berklee College, and in Los Angeles and Nashville. I now have songs that have been played on more than 200 radio and television programs around the world, including UnderCurrents, a syndicated program that airs on more t …

One of the most wonderful and rewarding things about the art of songwriting is that there are many different ways to approach making your own music. Arlington,TX music teacher Ric F. previously shared with us his tips on using rhythm as a guide to writing. Today, Ric would like to add another aspect to your understanding of writing songs, something he calls the "long-line" concept. Unlike visual art where you can see it all at once, music takes “time” to reveal itself. Today I would like …
