I provide a clear, concise, proven path to success at playing the harmonica. I focus on the most important aspects at mastering the instrument. We also have fun as well!

About Tim

Unlike other teachers that teach multiple instruments and add harmonica to their list, Tim's sole focus and expertise is the harmonica! Tim began playing harmonica at the age of thirteen. In addition to the guidance and nurturing he received from his musical family, Tim studied with harmonica gr

Tim is a fantastic teacher - he brought me from being unable to play single notes and knowing nothing about music theoery to having fun playing both blues and classic rock riffs and understanding major and minor scales in just 5 hours of lessons. He is also a lot of fun to hang out with talking about music and beyond. Highly recommended!

Harmonica:
A free reed wind instrument used worldwide in many musical genres, notably in blues, American folk music, classical music, jazz, country, and rock and roll. There are many types of harmonica, including diatonic, chromatic, tremolo, octave, orchestral, and bass versions. A harmonica is played by using the mouth, lips and tongue to direct air into or out of one or more holes along a mouthpiece. Behind each hole is a chamber containing at least one reed. A harmonica reed is a flat elongated spring typically made of brass, stainless steel, or bronze, which is secured at one end over a slot that serves as an airway. When the free end is made to vibrate by the player's air, it alternately blocks and unblocks the airway to produce sound. The lessons will consist of starting at the very beginning with the basics of first learning how to breathe and make tones through multiple holes and then getting a sound from one hole. We will learn how blowing in or out creates different ...

I will definitely be expanding my accordion skills & of music theory . I’ll also be adding some 😎 Jazz Standards to my repertoire ☺️.

Karen was not prepared for the lesson. She spent 15 minutes trying to send me photos from a beginner Tabla book available on Amazon. She did not own a set of Tabla drums. She ensured me she could teach anything, but could not pronounce the words used for proper Tabla technique, knew no history and could not even teach me to tune. She literally was reading out of the book figuring it out along the way. I lost a lot of trust from this and asked for a full refund for future lessons.

The chromatic harmonica was my first instrument which I taught myself by ear at the age of 5. It's perfect for playing melodies. I can play "blues harp" as well which is also a lot of fun and has a different kind of expressive feel with the bending. Whichever one you're interested in learning, I can help you hit the ground running with one of the most portable and enjoyable instruments out there! It's all about the feeling and the fun of it!

About Mark V

Mark V has been “Specializing In Melody” since the age of 5 when he discovered his natural ability to play and create catchy tunes by teaching himself the harmonica by ear. He went on to learn the accordion at 10, the piano at 12, MIDI and synthesizers at 15, the guitar at 30, and a long list o

Great lessons, I have had 8 or 9 lessons and already working on James Bond theme song! Great way to learn by giving your fingers knowledge of the cords and various tempos. Fun and learning. Now as Mark says instead of practice, “go catch some fun”

Great lesson, already progressing on 3rd lesson and believe me I know absolutely nothing. Thanks

My first lesson with Mark was amazing. Very knowledgeable and intuitive. He was very relaxed and made me feel right at home. He was encouraging and you definitely get the feeling he is doing something that he loves. I feel like I learned a lot and have some practicing to do. Thank you for the lessons.

The reason for 3 stars is that the audio was terrible. Gordon sounded like he was in a tunnel , and I was getting feedback on my voice, it was very disconcerting and hard to understand. Difficult to learn under those circumstances. The video was just fair. Gordon is good, but the experience was not.

I took up harmonica when I started songwriting, about five years ago. Inspired by Bob Dylan, the Beatles, and other pop/rock acts, I incorporated diatonic harp playing into my original songs. I later picked up blues style playing, improvisation, and other techniques. I'm happy to share my skills and techniques with harmonica players of all skill levels.

About Gio

I studied music at UCF (Orlando), focusing on classical and jazz guitar, but I also have years of experience playing rock, blues, folk, hip-hop, and musical theater on both guitar and drums. I have been teaching guitar, drums, and piano for about eight years to students of all ages. Music is wha

I also have my best friend taking harmonica lessons with him! His positive support and analogies connect the dots when it comes to learning a new instrument. I highly recommend Ronny as a teacher! "In my first lesson with Winslow he listened to what I had to say about my experience, my frustrations and my goals. He listened to me play and quickly diagnosed some issues and offered some helpful advice on how to address them. I came away with a much better sense of how to structure my practices to make them more productive and with some specific things on which to work."

"I had my first harmonica lesson with Ronnie and he is awesome! He is very passionate and knowledgeable about music. As a teacher, he is patient and thorough. I appreciate that he was able to simplify concepts for me and took the time to identify my goals. For our first lesson he was intentional about not jumping in too quickly and helping me set realistic expectations for my progress. I left feeling excited to turn this interest into a long-term passion. His communication is great and he is responsive via email and text. I had a change in my schedule for the first lesson. When I reached out to him to ask about changing the time he was understanding and flexible. I felt safe meeting in his home and he has an adorable dog (which is an obvious bonus)."
