About Sean
Drummer Sean C., 31, started playing at age 7 when he began studying with Mark Foster, a local free-lance percussionist in the Denver area. Sean really knows percussion. I've witnessed this both during lessons and when my family watched him perform with the Lone Tree Symphony. Sean is wonderful with kids. Although my son has attention issues, Sean is extremely patient, and he is able to efficiently redirect and focus my son. With Sean, music lessons are enjoyable. He has taken the time to get to know my son and how my son learns. I feel like the lessons are tailored extremely well for my child's abilities. Best of all, Sean is just a wonderful person. He's easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor. My son looks forward to his lessons with Sean each week. You won't find a better percussion instructor!

Drums were my first real hobby, and a great confidence-builder when I was growing up. I've spent many hours playing drums, and it's become a very rewarding part of my life. I specialize in teaching the techniques of playing the drum set, and I'd love to show you how to do it. So, sign up! I promise it'll be fun. You won't regret it.
Mark is an American composer, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer.
I started teaching private music lessons my senior year of high school, in 2006. Since then I've taught over 100 different students of all ages from 3 years old to 78 years old. While still living in Ohio, I was the one and only official guitar teacher for Guitar Center Youngstown through the duration of 2008-2009. In late 2009, after moving to Los Angeles, I continued to teach privately and with several music schools all around the city. I currently live in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of LA with my wife and two little kids.

As an educator, I strive to provide my students with the tools that they will need to explore the direction that they want to take with their instrument. This can include from enjoying drumming as a hobby, performing in small jazz ensembles, recording electronic and acoustic drums in major recording studios, to performing with a full orchestra! There is literally no limit to what you can do.
My focus is to get hobbyists to enjoy performing drums in the comfort of their own home or with friends, and to have my professionally-minded students go out into the world of performing and recording music. All of these environments are where the ultimate joy of playing an instrument can be expressed.
As a gigging and studio musicians, I understand what it takes to get to the stage or studio, apply oneself in that environment, and come away with a satisfying experience that you can then build upon for the rest of your life.
About James
Hi! I have been a drumset educator for over 3 decades. I understand that each student's journey is specific to them as an individual
