Hello! My name is Aaron, and I’m a drummer of 15 years. I work full time as a farmer and play drums in my band, Dirty Bodies, in my free time. My previous drumming experience spans many settings and disciplines, including playing in another rock band in Oakland, CA, significant time spent with drum lines and marching percussion, including the NC State University Power Sound of the South Marching Band and the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band, jazz bands, a steel drum band, and playing concert percussion throughout school. I am classically trained and have a strong background rooted in fundamentals and technique. I also want to teach you what you want to learn, and help you meet whatever your drumming goals may be! My number one goal is for folks to say “Wow, they make it looks easy!” when they see you drum. Skills we can work on can include reading sheet music, proper technique and stick control, learning rhythms and rudiments, from beginner to advanced, learning drumset grooves and fills across different styles (rock, jazz, Latin, etc.), learning to practice effectively, more advanced rudiments and skills used in marching percussion, and learning your favorite songs on the drums! I aim to provide a stress-free, comfortable, and enjoyable setting for you to grow as a musician and have as much fun drumming as possible.
