My 10 year old daughter studied with Margaret this year. Margaret is unfailingly patient and encouraging. She has a wealth of knowledge about music theory, and conveys the information in a way that makes it seem easy. She was great about tailoring the lessons to fit my daughter’s interests, strengths, and needs.

I took harp lessons with Margaret for 3 years and would have continued if I hadn't relocated to a different city. Margaret helped me drastically improve my technique with etudes and advice. She is great at explaining what changes need to be made to achieve a more accurate technique, and her musical suggestions really changed the way I think about preparing pieces and took my performance skills to a new level. She's honest, clear, and really fun to work with. I always looked forward to our lessons because she has a way of making even tricky, difficult pieces fun to work on.

Private Harp Teacher

As a music teacher of over 10 years I take a fun but structured approach to learning the harp. I've taught all ages and I individually work with each student to help them learn the music that they want to and reach the goals that they set for themselves. I also have a large emphasis on hand position and help my students have the very best technique so they can play their very best. We will typically start with exercises and technique and then move to music. I will then send written individual feedback after the lesson to help remind the student of what we are working on. I hope to have the chance to share my love of music with you!

About Jill

I am a harpist, pianist, arranger, composer, performer and lover of music. With over 12 years of experience teaching both piano and harp lessons. Although I graduated from Brigham Young University in Idaho with a Bachelors in visual communication, I have continued to stretch my skills as musician a

I believe lessons should be fun and expansive journeys. I enjoy truly connecting with each student in a light, enjoyable atmosphere. Lessons are tailored to meet each student where they are at, while still pushing them at a rate that inspires them. Positive reinforcement and constructive feedback are always used, while negative criticism is not. I specialize in teaching proper harp technique designed to allow the player to play for a lifetime! If pain arises from playing students will never be asked to push through pain or discomfort. Rather, we will find a different approach that works. Lastly, I love working with students on pieces they really love. No piece of music is off limits! We can make any song work on the harp!

About Pheobe

Hello there, and thank you so much for considering me as a potential teacher! I truly love teaching and so enjoy connecting with each and every student. I have been playing the harp since age six. While I am primarily a classical pedal harpist, I also love to play jazz, pop, folk, and contempo

"I enjoyed my first harp lesson with Liudmila so much! She is a very sweet lady, and a very patient, knowledgable, and professional teacher. She taught me the correct posture and hand positions at the first lesson. I was struggeling with the hand positions first, but she didn't mind to explain them to me over and over again. She also plaid some tunes to me, and I could tell that she is an awsome harpist. I am very glad that I can learn from her. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn from a professional harpist."

"Adrriene welcomed me into her very neat, well-lit and cozy house, and into an overall comfortable atmosphere. She was very warm and patient, and took my personal musical goals in mind. (I'm not planning to become a concert harpist, but to learn to play and enjoy the 19-string celtic harp that my wife bought me as a gift, and perhaps play in church.) With this in mind, she took off with the first lesson with a song that I've been wanting to learn for a very long time, and made it into an exercise. I should now, with a two-week time gap for practice, be able to learn to correctly position my fingers and pluck the strings with a clear and crisp sound. Looking forward to my second lesson."
