By Nick S. - St. Louis Drums Teacher
Teaching drum lessons in St. Louis is quite a treat. This city has a strong foundation in producing musical talent and many artists including Miles Davis, Chuck Berry and Shania Twain have called St. Louis home. The combination of strong history and support of the arts from local neighborhoods provides opportunities for children who want to learn music in St. Louis as early as age one!
I’ve taught drum lessons in St. Louis for five years now and it has been a true delight! It is safe to say that teaching drum lessons is much easier when the students are prepared. Because of the history and community that exists in St. Louis, students here are often exposed to music in many different ways, both at school and at home. This allows them to be better prepared when they start lessons. At school we are taught about the rich musical history of our city and the successful artists it has produced. Many St. Louis residents also take pride in playing music at home and pass this tradition on to their children.
Teaching drum lessons in St. Louis has been such a treat for me because I always connect with my students and their love for music. When my students start lessons they are often able to surpass a beginner level because of their elevated interest in learning – and when they grow, we are both delighted!
