About Andrew
Musically and personally, I strongly feel that diversity and openness are key in a person's development: when we move outside of our comfort zone and embrace the unknown, we are better able to grow as musicians (and human beings). As a performer, I feel that performing with musicians of different b

From the first lesson, Andrew has been a consummate professional. Each lesson he brings in something new, while making sure that everything we've covered in the past is still ingrained through repetition. Having Andrew as an instructor has opened my eyes to the many facets of drumming, and I have taken skills/techniques with me that will last forever. The feedback does not stop after each lesson, Andrew is available all the time for any questions I may have during the week if I am stumped while practicing. His schedule is flexible with mine, and he is willing to bring in music that I want to personally learn. The lessons are the right balance of fun and teaching, and his studio promotes a learning environment that is not intimidating to let loose if you're a beginner like me.
I'd recommend Andrew to anyone looking to expand their skill set, the lessons have been a great experience.

When I was looking for a drumming teacher for my son, I looked at several of the teachers' profiles. I thought that Al's profile was the best fit for my son who had no experience in drumming, and my son has learned so much from Al. Al is a wonderful teacher and very patient. He adjusts to the likes and needs of his students. I like that Al is a professional musician/performer and brings that experience to the table too."

Michael has been a great teacher to my 5-year old. My son and I both came to him with no experience with drums/music education and Michael was able to teach my son in a way that was fun and kept the attention of a 5 year old, while still being able to grasp the concepts and foundations of music. As a parent, I admired his enthusiasm and excitement of my sonâs progression. He is very passionate about what he does and it is exemplified through his lessons. My son truly enjoys the lessons and even practices on his own throughout the week and this is definitely attributable to Michaelâs instruction style and passion for his craft. I would absolutely recommend Michael as a teacher."

I whole-heartedly agree! He jumped right in, asked some great questions and quickly deduced Jonathan's skill level.
He was able to give him something tough enough to really challenge Jonathan, but still within his range to be able to do..
Great!"

Casey is an awesome teacher! Our 10 year old daughter looks forward to her drum class, having fun while learning. Somehow He manages to handle the craziness of teaching a young child online and keeping the her attention with ease. We are really glad we found him."

It’s known by a few names: “Open handed drumming,” playing with a “left hand lead,” playing “uncrossed,” or simply “open.” Whatever you decide to call it, open handed drumming is a way of setting up and playing your drum set so that one hand doesn’t cross over the other while playing the time-keeping cymbals (like the hi-hats, or ride). It can equate to playing time with your non-dominant hand, and it also can mean playing the hi-hats or ride cymbals in unusual lo …
