My son has been taking piano and singing lessons with Laurel for 2 years, and he has honestly enjoyed every lesson. Laurel provides a holistic approach to music education that goes far beyond reading music. In her lessons, she incorporates music theory, ear training, exposure to a variety of musical and performing styles, and fosters creativity and expression. She gently encourages my son to stretch and try different styles of music. Through all of this, Laurel is unfalteringly patient, positive, and kind. I feel incredibly lucky to have Laurel giving my son such a well-rounded, positive music education, and I highly recommend her!

Laurel is a great teacher. My kids are loving piano. She makes it interesting for them while also making sure they learn. They’re learning to read music as well as play and have fun.

Hello, potential organ student. Are you ready to learn one of the most fascinating (and complicated) instruments in the world? There is a lot more to the organ than most think. Lessons on the organ will cover technique, repertoire, and a little about classical organ improvisation, an almost lost art these days. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have about lessons, availability, or just the organ in general. Talk to you soon!

Kyle is a great piano teacher! He is very patient with my 12-year old son. Just yesterday he referred to him as “fun Kyle” because he teaches him small songs on the side that he can show friends and family or are for upcoming holidays. He’s always punctual and respectful of our family and home. I’m grateful to have found him!

I have been playing various types of organs since I was 12 years old. Each organ is different and there are many different styles of organs and keyboards. Each one can create a unique sound that makes creating music a fun and entertaining experience. I enjoy teaching people how to make music using their talents the best way they can. Not everyone is an expert but everyone can make music.

About James

How exciting that you are thinking about learning to play the piano!!! One of my greatest joys in life has been sharing my gift of music with others, especially in teaching piano lessons. I began playing piano when I was 10 years old and by the age of 12 I was playing in my local church. I'm sur

Have had one lesson so far with James. Seems competent and sensitive to what you want to do with your goals. Really too early for me to tell for sure.

Jim is a great teacher, he makes you feel like you are really doing good playing the piano.
There is no pressure and he never is in a bad mood!
If you are having trouble with a certain part of a lesson, he repeats what is being taught in a totally different way.
He even knows what you are doing wrong and helps you correct that problem. Always in a level voice as he understands.
I am a Senior student and have never taken music lessons before. I am very pleased with Jim’s teaching methods.
This your chance to learn something new and beautiful and be proud of yourself. I recommend these lessons totally!

I am an adult beginner violinist. When I first met Stephanie, I had barely touched a violin, but I was determined to learn how to play it. With her help and patience, I am progressing through the Suzuki method as well as doing ear training and music theory. Stephanie is an excellent musician as well as instructor! Her method of teaching keeps the students engaged, encouraged and excited about learning music from all sides of it.

I strongly recommend Ms. Quinn. She is amazing. I love a teacher who is passionate about what she does and Ms. Quinn has motivated me to love the violin and work harder to improve. She is slightly strict but very patience and kind, always pushing you to work hard and do your best. I learned to play violin a few years ago as a beginner and stopped playing for a few years. I was nervous to begin online violin lessons considering that I learn better face to face. However, Ms. Quinn has done an amazing job at teaching me, I have been taking lessons with her for a year now and have learned so much I didn’t know before which has also grown my love for violin.

Stephanie helped my younger one prepare for competition. She was highly skillful, supportive yet strict. Initially, my girl was a bit nervous to work with Stephanie because of her high reputation. Stephanie was very kind and fun, using metaphors to help my 10-year old understand the music. She not only helped my child overcome barriers to master the music piece but also shared much practical advice for competition. We did not expect this but my 10-year old won the first prize and was invited to perform in Carnegie Hall New York. Highly recommend Stephanie!!!

I teach both baroque and modern technique on a tracker action instrument, which is then applicable to modern instruments. My teaching style is rooted in developing a technique that is centered, focused, and free. Beginning organ students should have reached an intermediate level of piano performance and be tall enough to sit comfortably on a lowered organ bench with feet touching the pedals without flexing.

I am an active performer eager to teach organ, piano, voice, and provide collaborative keyboard accompaniment to vocalists. I teach youth and adults. Private lessons are given at my church in Worcester or online through the TakeLessons platform. I also teach in-home piano lessons. My students have

"I am thrilled with Ronald. In my opinion, I definitely having the best and most experienced music teacher in the state of Colorado. He was in contact with me a few times before my first lesson, so I already was already comfortable with Ronald when he came to my door. Ronald has a lifetime of experience, and he seems to have never met a stranger. He is easy-going and knowledgeable. He put me at ease as he sat down to play and teach me about my organ for a couple of minutes before we got out the lesson book, and it was my turn. He teaches and repeats and encourages without hurrying to the next step. It was fun.
I'm excited about practicing and my future accomplishments with Ron's expert and encouraging ways of teaching."

3 Reasons Why Piano Players Should Also Learn the Organ

There are many reasons why a music student may find themselves learning to play piano on a keyboard rather than on a baby grand: cost, space, or simply lack of access, for example. Versatility on a range of keyboard instruments is also an extremely useful string for any pianist to have to their bow, and can lead to greater practice and public performance opportunities, and even excellent opportunities to earn a little money on the side. The organ, although not the most prevalent or popular musi …
