I'm a full time touring musician, I studied music in school for 8 years, but I can honestly say I've learned more about music through my years as a touring musician. I find great joy in sharing all the things I've learned over the years.

I like getting to know my students; their expectations and goals as an aspiring drummer, and I build my curriculum around their needs.

In my lessons you can expect to learn, and have fun!

I've been teaching drum set for 5 years. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to properly hold a pair of sticks and as time goes on you'll be able to effectively keep time, and play along to songs. I specialize in rock, fuck, pop, and blues drumming. In my lessons I typically us the instructional books Syncopation by Ted Reed and the Drummer's Bible by Mick Berry. At lessons I have two drum sets, drum pads, sticks, brushes, music stands, and various drum books. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and am excited to teach.

Attacking the students aspirations and goals of their personal requests to the trainer, and getting to know the client and where they would like to see themselves in a limited time of training so the clients money and time isn't left in the mud! We will play and organize our curriculum through music and melody, with a counted rhythm to the beat we are attacking. Listening to our favorite songs is a good way to learn how to play an instrument, it gives a familiar count and sound that we can connect to! Music is simple but fun so our sessions will always revolve around repetitive lessons ,BPM , counting, rhythm, and listening to many many songs and playing them!

Wide variety of styles/genres:
e.g. Rock, Swing, Latin, etc.
Includes all snare rudiments, as well as full trap-kit exercises.
Familiarization of multiple time signatures.

Wherever you are on your journey I am here to help. With almost 10 years of teaching experience I have come across all levels of drummers. Whether you want to tackle a new song or learn how to play your favorite fill, I can help. Not only will you have fun in our lessons but I will help develop great technique while doing so. With my instruction my students have gone on to join their schools bands and compete for All State/Regional groups. You will learn something new every lesson, guaranteed!
