Harmonica:
A free reed wind instrument used worldwide in many musical genres, notably in blues, American folk music, classical music, jazz, country, and rock and roll. There are many types of harmonica, including diatonic, chromatic, tremolo, octave, orchestral, and bass versions. A harmonica is played by using the mouth, lips and tongue to direct air into or out of one or more holes along a mouthpiece. Behind each hole is a chamber containing at least one reed. A harmonica reed is a flat elongated spring typically made of brass, stainless steel, or bronze, which is secured at one end over a slot that serves as an airway. When the free end is made to vibrate by the player's air, it alternately blocks and unblocks the airway to produce sound. The lessons will consist of starting at the very beginning with the basics of first learning how to breathe and make tones through multiple holes and then getting a sound from one hole. We will learn how blowing in or out creates different ...

I have an earned Masters degree in music and enjoy teaching students of all ages. I am happily married with 5 children at home--4 of them are musicians as well (the youngest is 4).. Students will quickly learn not only the basics of music theory, but will be playing songs as early as their first lesson. It is extremely rewarding watching students have fun, excel, and fall in love with making music. I presently teach music at 3 schools (1 college) and only have a few lessons slots available. I look forward to working with you.

Now we can get to why this is. I am a teacher but definitely not a music teacher. However no matter what you teach there must be a defined plan with structure. Ronnie takes this to heart and provides authentic instruction with passion. The amount of video and photo examples on his bio are unparalleled, it gave me confidence in choosing him. I got see his character and enthusiasm with instruction.
I've never played Harmonica before and Ronnie laid out the foundation that I needed, in easily digestible steps, to become a skilled player on a simple looking yet complex instrument. He has provided guidance on harps to purchase, reference materials, practice schedule and artists to check out. Even with this being an online course he has been extremely attentive to what I'm doing and makes sure that I get all the technical aspects correct. Ronnie checked for my understanding on the concepts and clarified anything I was not clear on. He has been beyond what I expected from an instructor and he has made himself available for questions even outside of my lesson time. It is rare to find an instructor in any field with this passion and customer service. Thank you."
