I cater my lessons to fit the students needs. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced drummer looking to refine your skills, I can help you along your musical journey. I play several different styles of music, and love to teach new concepts to aspiring students.

Attacking the students aspirations and goals of their personal requests to the trainer, and getting to know the client and where they would like to see themselves in a limited time of training so the clients money and time isn't left in the mud! We will play and organize our curriculum through music and melody, with a counted rhythm to the beat we are attacking. Listening to our favorite songs is a good way to learn how to play an instrument, it gives a familiar count and sound that we can connect to! Music is simple but fun so our sessions will always revolve around repetitive lessons ,BPM , counting, rhythm, and listening to many many songs and playing them!

Drum lessons are unique with me, because the depth of knowledge in a variety of styles that I have gained from my education and life experience. Each student receives a differentiated curriculum to meet their specific needs; I do not use a "one size fits all" teaching method. I also have an ability to relate techniques, because of my performance experience, to real life musical settings.

My goal is to unlock your creativity! As an active musician, producer, and teacher, I love helping people learn to read, write, and play the music they love and envision. My teaching philosophy is that every aspect of music is connected and therefore to really get it, you have to learn it all! I take a wide ground up approach inching away at rhythm, melody, theory, technique, and feel altogether, advancing all musical skills equally over time.

I have over thirty years of experience teaching students of all ages and abilities. My youngest student is seven and my oldest student is seventy six. I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music and have years of experience playing with jazz, rock, funk and country groups as well as playing shows for touring acts. My versatility allows me to teach many styles. Whether it's teaching a beginning student how to play rock, helping a teenage student prepare for marching band or jazz band or showing a retiree how to play to their favorite song, I always enjoy help my students learn and improve.

Lessons are customized for the students based on their interest and experience. I will cover the basics and rudiments with new students but allow them to create and follow their own musical path using a variety of methods and musical styles.
