Zaky is great with my son who has a history of brain injury which causes him to have short term memory problems. In just a few weeks he has much more confidence in himself and is even a slight bit ahead in band class. He is now able to help some of the other students which he loves. There are very few things that at school that don't overwhelm him, and Zaky has helped him find success in music.

I have been writing songs since I was 11 years old. I was the songwriter for several independent rock bands, the most notable being an indie psychedelic group called "Tod The Fox". I also help artists write songs as lead producer at Drive35 Productions. I have scored several films, one of which has recently been nominated for "best original score" at The Attic Film Festival in Austin, TX.

About Jordan

13 years ago, I picked up a guitar and began my life-long pursuit of music. This pursuit has led me in a wide variety of directions. Today, I am a worship leader for Fellowship of The Parks, an on-staff music-producer and session musician at Drive35 Productions, and a passionate instructor. I h

Jordan is a nice guy, my son enjoys the lessons. So far seems like a good experience.

After many years of contemplating learning an instrument and making excuses like a busy schedule, I finally made the commitment. I started the first few weeks with online videos and made a little progress. I found Jordan through this sight. I was hoping to find someone who would help guide me on a steady path to improvement and growth. Jordan has been a perfect fit for me. He's patient (I'm not). He is encouraging (I'm pretty hard on myself). I am slowly getting better and wanting to stick with it. I think it's because he's clear and methodical in his teaching and he keeps you enthused with music that you like. While I have a long way to go, I practice every day and look forward to my weekly lessons with Jordan. I'm learning the guitar for my self and over the past three month Jordan has helped me stay engaged and excited about playing the guitar. I highly recommend Jordan and will continue to learn from him.

Musicntheory is a universal language. With it, I’ve been able to write music for orchestras and instruments I’ve never played. Songwriting is far more simple than one might think. Those mainstream songs on the radio? Primarily, they take incredibly basic music theory knowledge. Want to write catchy, ways to please music? I got you. Want to write incredibly intricate yet impressively satisfying to the ear-music? I got you there, too.

About Brandon

I started learning piano by the age of 4. Started composition by the age of 5. At the age of 12, I started guitar and never turned back. Music was always the ULTIMATE escape. To me there's nothing that compares to the feeling I get after completing a song, or the rush of a good performance. I decid

Brandon is a great teacher and I definitely recommend! He's tailored the lessons right away to my music interests and skill level while still taking time to focus on the techniques I need to learn for bass. I've had a few lessons online and have already learned way more in these few weeks than I would ever have learned on my own. The online format works great for my schedule.

Brandon is a great teacher. I had my first lesson with him yesterday and he can play and takes the time to show you exactly what you are doing. I was skeptical of an online lesson with a teacher but it was a blast and in my first lesson I learned a lot of valuable things that I can put in my toolbox. I look forward to learning and to keep taking lessons. Oh and practicing! Highly recommend Brandon.

My first lesson with Brandon was a really instructional and inspiring interaction. Brandon listened to my goals and inspired me to become disciplined in practicing every day. His future classes and goals for me where explained after the first class. Both he and I have an understanding of where I want to be in the future and I know he will do everything he can to help me achieve my goals. Thanks Brandon!

Anthony is a skilled musician that has wonderful talent in teaching people (of all ages). He is always kind about how he professes but also takes teaching seriously. he has an amazing capacity of patience and is willing to work with a student until they are comfortable and confident in their skill. He has taught me things from bass clef to crochet. His sense of humor makes his lessons light and easy to let the information sink in. This instructor works well with anyone and has passion, pride, and genuinely loves what he does. A++++++++++++++

"Lorin helped me hone my songwriting skills immensely, by not only teaching but collaborating with me when necessary. It was refreshing to find someone who put his teachings into practical learning, where I could see the outcomes become apparent. He’s a nice dude, and is experienced equally across his fields. He guided me to making intelligent choices for equipment purchases, both instruments and pro audio gear. We first met while he was living in New York, and boy has he traveled since. I think living in so many different states, and being that well journeyed has given him good cultural depth to his work. Check out some of his own collabs with singers and musicians from all over the world...that really says it all."

Songwriting 101: Using the "Long-Line" Concept

One of the most wonderful and rewarding things about the art of songwriting is that there are many different ways to approach making your own music. Arlington,TX music teacher Ric F. previously shared with us his tips on using rhythm as a guide to writing. Today, Ric would like to add another aspect to your understanding of writing songs, something he calls the "long-line" concept. Unlike visual art where you can see it all at once, music takes “time” to reveal itself. Today I would like …
