Are you looking for a new hobby? Do you have a favorite song you want to learn on the harp? Lessons are offered in increments of 30 or 45 minutes, with lesson plans and repertoire varying for each student. Performance opportunities will be available throughout the year for those interested.

I have been teaching harp lessons to children and adult beginners since 2005 in Illinois, Colorado, and California.

Contact me to get started!

About Sarah
Music is my passion, and I play several instruments -- harp, piano, flute, and sing. After earning a music degree in harp performance from Northwestern University, I have become a successful freelance and orchestral harpist. I have been listed in the Chicago Talent Magazine as one of Chicago's top artists. I can be seen performing regularly during Afternoon Tea at the Drake Hotel in Chicago.

As a harp teacher, I believe each student has the potential to become the harpist that he/she wants to become, whether the goal is to become a professional musician or just to enjoy as a hobby. Every student has different strengths and thus repertoire will be different per person based upon what the student wants to learn. Performance opportunities will be offered throughout the year.

I look forward to hearing from you!

I am a harpist at heart since the day I set my eyes on this angelic instrument at the age of 12. Every sound made is immediately comforting and soothing. My experience ranges from teaching children and adults of all backgrounds. I founded Harp4all Music Conservatory and have regular harp ensemble practices and recitals. I teach from several method books including Harp Olympics and Fun From the First. My teachers include Susan McDonald, Elizabeth Richter, Ellie Choate. Susan McDonald has strongly influenced my teaching style and performance.

About Sara
Hi! My name is Sara. My studio began in 2000, teaching one violin student. I took a break and went to college to earn my A.A. in Music and my Piano Performance Certificate from Riverside Community College in California. I graduated Great Distinction and was on the Dean's list. I received many piano and academic scholarships. While in college I started my studio in Riverside California teaching Piano to an autistic child. I taught him 3 times a week and made exceptional progress. I enjoyed it so much I started teaching full time in 2008 teaching piano, harp, violin, voice, guitar, flute and clarinet. Soon I had 50 students and created a 501 (c) (3) non-profit music school. My students and I perform for the public, including nursing homes. The performances are important for the students progress as well as the Piano Guild where students are
adjudicated by judges in a non competitive environment. Moving back to my hometown, I am excited to meet new students!

I'm a professional harpist who graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Music with extensive teaching experience in the United States and Belgium. I am offering harp lessons to students of all backgrounds, levels, and ages.

I am currently in the process of completing my Doctor of Musical Arts at the CUNY Graduate Center. I hope to transfer the skills and knowledge I have obtained from working with some of the most renowned harpists to my own students.

Teaching is a passion for me. Whether you are just taking lessons for fun, or whether you are serious about creating a future professional career, I will be equally attentive to your needs. I like to ensure that my students progress during the lesson, but not at the expense of having fun! I believe that a relaxed atmosphere is essential to the learning experience.

I had the benefit of taking lessons from Chelsea after I had been learning to play for a bit over a year. She was both encouraging and warm personally, and gave me several ways to think about technique, which helped a great deal. She was able to give me insights to help me get into music theory, as well as technique and practical questions, all so valuable for a beginner!

I had a great first lesson. Chelsea made me feel comfortable and at ease. I highly recommend her. I had zero experience with string instruments and she gave clear instructions, and even wrote in depth notes for me to study.

About Becca
I am a friendly, outgoing, and passionate music teacher! I play the harp and piano and absolutely love to spread the joy of music. I started playing the harp because my grandmother was a harpist and I thought it was the most beautiful instrument. After all these years, I still love the amazing sound of the harp. I completed my degree in Harp Performance from University of Denver's Lamont School of Music where I received a well-rounded education in both performance and academics (including theory, history, and technology). Please let me know if you have any questions- can't wait to get started!

I am a beginner harp student at the age of 64, and also a Professor with fairly high expectations. I wasn't sure what to expect from a young teacher like Becca. Within minutes I could tell she is a natural at teaching the harp. What impressed me the most was that she understands every person learns differently. She is sensitive and thus listens to the student's comments and intuitively knows how to respond in the best way. She also has a lot of patience - being a perfectionist I wanted to repeat over and over certain movements and Becca was right there with me, giving me fresh guidance along the way. I learned so much with her and will always remember our lessons with gratitude.

I am so glad to have Liudmila as my first Piano teacher.I never thought I would be taking Piano lessons at my age, but Liudmila is such a wonderful , patient teacher that she makes me feel very relaxed. She is very knowledgeable about music and takes great care to teach me at my pace and capability. I have already taken about 10 classes with her and am excited and looking forward to continue taking more lessons with her.

I enjoyed my first harp lesson with Liudmila so much! She is a very sweet lady, and a very patient, knowledgable, and professional teacher. She taught me the correct posture and hand positions at the first lesson. I was struggeling with the hand positions first, but she didn't mind to explain them to me over and over again. She also plaid some tunes to me, and I could tell that she is an awsome harpist. I am very glad that I can learn from her. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn from a professional harpist.

Eleonora is an extremely talented musician and harpist. She is very patient and caring to her students. She tailors lessons to fit the students needs, which I personally found it amazing!!! Harp was not very easy for me to learn and I took a very long time to learn my pieces, but with Eleonora’s guidance I was able to learn them in the end. Thanks to her positive and encouraging teaching style, harp lessons were always enjoyable. I would highly recommend Eleonora…you will not regret to take her lessons!!

About Louise
French-born harpist Louise Ollivier is emerging as an engaging performer in both her native France and New York City. She has won awards and has participated in several international competitions (Rovere d'Oro, Concours Francais de la Harpe, USA International Harp Competition). In past seasons, she has performed at the Lincoln Center in New York and was invited to play with the United Nations Orchestra. Louise has also performed across Europe (France, Germany, Netherlands, Germany, UK, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain) with the Brussel Chamber Orchestra, National Police Orchestra of France or at the Royal Opera of Liege and on Josh Groban’s live tour in 2016. From 2011-2015 she was invited as the principal harpist to the Aurora Festival in Sweden, and during the 2014-15 season she performed in New Delhi through the Neemrana Musi
c Foundation.

An enthusiastic collaborator, Louise has worked with multiple artists across a number of disciplines, including Jialba (Belgian visual artist), Louise Ros (Belgian photographer), Rafael Leloup, and Romain Zante (both LA-based Belgian composers). She is currently developing a new, interdisciplinary recital program, Glass Ceiling. A collaborative performance featuring two dancers (Shay Bland & Scott Willits from the Alvin Ailey Company and Elisa Monte Dance Company), Glass Ceiling is a story told through 3 bodies, illustrating the physical and psychological violence inflicted upon women experiencing intimate partner violence. The premiere will be in Fall 2018.

She studied at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel with Jana Bouskova and in Paris at Ecole Normale Alfred Cortot with Emmanuel Ceysson. Louise also worked and received the support from David Watkins in England (Guildhall School of Music in London), Chantal Mathieu (Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne), Park Stickney (Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Lyon) and Beatrice Guillermin (Conservatoire de Saint-Maur). She has studied chamber music with Denis Bouriakov (principal flutist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra), Alexander Zemtsov (Guildhall School of Music in London and Vienna Konservatorium) and Samuel Coles (principal flutist of the Philharmonia Orchestra in London). Louise is now studying with Emmanuel Ceysson at the New School (Mannes College of Performing Arts, New York) on full scholarship.

The harp has honestly taught me so many valuable lessons and I would not be the same person without it. I highly recommend it because it is a glorious instrument that will change your life. You will learn technique, theory, dynamics, and different styles of playing the harp. Anyone can play the harp regardless of age. I would say a lesson with me is encouraging, yet challenging. I would you to fall in love with the harp, just as much as I am in love with it and I also want you to feel as though you are being stretched. Happy harping!

About Lauren
Hello, my name is Lauren and I am a harpist living in New York City, Manhattan and Oxnard, California. I first fell in love with the harp when I was five years old. I attended a wedding in Minnesota where I saw a beautiful pedal harp and immediately took an affinity to the instrument. It took my mom and I three years to find a harp teacher, but when I was eight, I had my first lesson. Since then and now, much has happened. I’ve played at several weddings and events. In 2011, I placed second in the Redlands Harp Competition and I have even been blessed to preform at spectacular venues such as The Thousand Oaks Civics Arts Plaza and The Grand Ole Opry in Tennessee. I have also attended the prestigious summer intensive "Young Artist's Harp Seminar." For my first year of college, I was the principal harpist for Pepperdine University's Symph
ony and Woodwind Ensemble. Currently, I am pursuing a Film and Television degree from New York University Tisch as well as involving myself in the music community at NYU Steinhardt.

When I am not harping, I like to watch movies (Wes Anderson films are my favorite!), go to coffee shops, and visit museums. Being able to play the harp is a wonderful experience and I hope to share my gift with as many people as possible.
