I teach lessons to any grade/age group. I have an extremely open mind to teaching and music in general, so nothing goes out the door in terms of philosophy, however, I've come to realize that some methods work better than others. That said, I tailor my attention and focus as an educator to the needs of student I'm teaching in front of me. I don't consider the student who just walked out of the lesson or the student who is coming in next. I put my all in the student who is in front of me because I believe time is an essential asset to lessons. Also, every case is so uniquely different in terms of students and I take a good amount of time to calibrate the learning style of every student.
About Matt
I am passionate instructor who is fueled by seeing success in others. No other feeling is more fulfilling then seeing the growth of another human. I have been teaching private lessons in my own studio for about 8 years now. I've taught 7 marching bands and currently writing music for some with an

About Brian
The only thing I've ever wanted to do was play drums. My parents bought me my first drum set at age 6. I've spent my whole life learning how to be good at what I love. I still study and practice almost every day, but now I pass my knowledge on to others. If you want to see one of my early students

I teach drum set and marching percussion, teaching for four years. I teach both tenor and snare drum for marching.
Lessons are tailored to the individual student and their experience, goals, and materials available. Having the respective instrument at the teaching location is preferred, but the minimum materials required are drumsticks, a drum pad, and a stand for the drum pad.
Drum set students should expect to learn the basics of technique and drum set-up. From there, lessons are tailored to the individual student, specifically what genres they are interested in. For beginners, I use "The Best Beginner Drum Book" by Drumeo.
Marching percussion students learn a heavier emphasis on technique, constantly being implemented into lessons. Students learn a variety of musical pieces and see technical and musical growth through each piece.
About Kevin
I've been involved in music since fifth grade loved it since! As a performer, I was heavily involved in my high school's music program being involved in: the advanced jazz band (drum set), advanced choir (baritone), musical pit (drum set/auxiliary percussion), show band (vibraphone/tenor drums), an

I break teaching down to an easy-to-understand language by demonstrating techniques, rudiments, drum set styles, and playing along with music within the drum lesson. I've been drumming for over 10 years, and I have been teaching for 4 years. I combine knowledge of contemporary drumming techniques along with applications handed down through other drummers for different learning experiences for students. Whether chosen as a hobby or a possible career route, having an experienced drum teacher is key.
