I have an earned Masters degree in music and enjoy teaching students of all ages. I am happily married with 5 children at home--4 of them are musicians as well (the youngest is 4).. Students will quickly learn not only the basics of music theory, but will be playing songs as early as their first lesson. It is extremely rewarding watching students have fun, excel, and fall in love with making music. I presently teach music at 3 schools (1 college) and only have a few lessons slots available. I look forward to working with you.

What makes my harmonica lessons unique is how I learned from a professional harmonicast who played internationally. I took 5 lessons on the 64 chromatic harmonica from him. The method he taught me,and what I'd like to teach new students is "The Mirror Method." I can also teach different tonguing techniques. I have played solos in large churches and several nursing homes. I've also played in weddings and funerals. I love playing and I would like to pass that on.

About michael

I can help you get started on some of your favorite campfire songs, or playing along with a band as you learn the blues and rock and roll.

About Andrew

I have loved music since I was a child. I began playing clarinet when I was 11 years old and slowly picked up new instruments like the saxophone, harmonica, guitar, ukulele, flutes, whistles, kazoo, and others. I enjoy any style of music and have a desire to learn as many instruments as possible.

Simply put, Andrew is the best. His genuine love and passion for all-things music was obvious the first day we met him. He is great with kids. He is flexible yet reliable. We love the fact that he tailors his lessons, homework, and incentives to the needs and interests of each individual student. We are confident that we could not find a better guitar instructor for our daughter.

"Tim's method for teaching harmonica is enjoyable and logical. I can honestly say that my tone, technique and overall facility on the harp have improved so much in just a few weeks of working with him (after a year or so of trying to figure things out on my own via the internet). He knows just how to convey in words -- in a way that you can understand and implement -- exactly what you need to be doing with your mouth, lungs, etc. to help you improve your sound. As such his instruction can provide a great foundation for playing in any genre (blues, pop, country etc.). Also he's super laid back so that's another plus."

"My 7 year old daughter is a first time Harmonica player and my wife and I are not musically inclined at all! Matthew is excellent, by the end of our first session she could understand notes and chords, which were all foreign to us before we started. After our very first lesson, my daughter was able to play Low Rider well enough to where the common ear could hear it. Bottom line is he is patient and and takes time to explain and my daughter loves it so that is the biggest win."

"I've worked with Joe in our band Night Watch Paradox since 2014. He is a consummate band mate and amazingly versatile harmonica player. We play a wide variety of original songs drawing from many musical genres. Joe is able to find the perfect harmonica part to suit each song, whether it's a wailing solo in a blues harp style, or a tasteful and haunting melody on a chromatic harp.

If you're looking for an experienced and accomplished harmonica teacher who will show you the basics, but then take your playing beyond the usual and predictable harmonica tunes, then you should give Joe a call."

Tim's experienced background as a blues harp player, performance career, and music theory along with his most helpful guide "The Talking Harmonica," recorded audio tracks and YouTube videos combined for an easy and fun learning experience.
