I have a lot of experience playing all kinds of percussion! I've been doing it since I was in middle school, and have gotten a degree in Percussion Performance.

I've always played because I genuinely enjoy it, and I'd like to help people who are trying to get better for auditions, or just want to learn a piece.

These are your lessons, so we'll try to hit whatever your goal is. If you want to defer to me, then I'll start you off with basics like refining your technique, and making sure we can keep tempos steady - things that will apply to everything you play.

Coming from 15+ years' experience learning, interpreting, & performing music; 7+ years recording, & 6+ years teaching, you can expect from me an enjoyable, streamlined lesson to help strengthen your musical understanding & ability to further utilize your love for music. I specialize in classical, jazz fundamentals, rock/pop, recording, composition, & live performance. I am a freelance percussionist who has played with professional orchestras in the US, UK and Asia.
I graduated from the Boston Conservatory, New England Conservatory and Boston University with percussion performance degrees.

Taking percussion lessons online is a great option at this time. I have taught percussion lessons for 47 years and have been a band instructor in the public schools. I emphasize good technique, sight-reading skills, improvisation and applying these skills to repertoire in preferred styles. I primarily take beginning percussion students on snare drum, bass drum and bells.
