I am a Baltimore-based percussionist with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Percussion Performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.
For over a decade, I have honed my craft as a professional musician by working with world-renowned faculty, competing and performing internationally, and instructing all ages and skill levels. During my time at Peabody, I actively sought out and gained exposure to every aspect of the percussion world, from Orchestral music to Jazz improvisation, from chamber groups and symphonies to solo performances. Additionally, I have years of experience teaching percussion in private lesson formats.

Percussion:
There are a whole list of percussion instruments and I can teach you anyone you would like to learn. Each instrument has it's own unique characteristics and can be sounded by being struck or scraped by a beater, struck, scraped or rubbed by hand; or struck against another similar instrument. The percussion family is believed to include the oldest musical instruments. Some of the instruments are timpani, snare drum, bass drum, cymbals, triangle, and tambourine. Whichever percussive instrument you choose I have the ability to teach it to you.
