I have been playing for over 2 decades and have a lot of experience playing professionally. I am also currently a audio engineer and record music for a living. I have a professional studio that will give the student the ability to sit inside and feel what it like to be in a real studio, not just a practice space like pretty much every teacher i have ever had lessons with. I have a practical approach for any one getting started with drumming. But i also like to teach what the student wants to learn at that time. This varies based on the needs of the student.

About Jason

I love teaching people all that i have learned over the past 2 decades. I have a lot of knowledge and experience to impart. And I have easy ways to teach this material to get you up and running on your own as soon as possible. I teach all styles to any one of any age and any skill level. I have

I've been teaching drums to students of all ages since 2004. I'm available for lessons at my home studio or your house, and I'm great with kids, however I ask that your child is at least 6 years old. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play basic drum beats and play along to some of your favorite songs. At the same time, we'll work on good drumming technique, note reading, developing good timing, and more. I'm a very patient and positive teacher and would be excited to hear from you! I pride myself on having long-term student retention. :)

Our son loves his Drum lessons.

Benk is very flexible, affordable and our son took to him very well. He even records what he has learned each week so we both can keep track of his progress. He is much more affordable then other drum teachers or studio's in the area, and even will come to your home.
If you are looking for a GREAT Teacher you should take some time to talk to Benk.

"Murray is an exsquisite drum teacher. He teaches my son all of the fundamentals of playing the drums. He ensures that my son knows how to read music, and knows how to play all genres of music. His lessons are always fun and he encourages my son to have fun while playing, but to do so professionally as well. Murray makes sure that my son knows the different drum rudiments that he plays, such as, paradiddles/flamadiddles, so when speaks about a piece that he has played, he can sound educated and professional about his craft. Murray deposits fruitful information about how to conduct business, if you are planning to have a career in the music industry. Thank you for being a great teacher and influence to my child."

"Jeff has been working with my 16 year old son, who started drum lessons to prepare for jazz band, for about 4 months now. Jeff is a a very skilled teacher and has been a joy to work with in terms of coordinating schedules and other logistics. My son has learned a great deal from Jeff in a very short time and very much enjoys working with him!"

"**Excellent** drum instructor, highly recommended

Jeff is everything you'd want in a drum instructor: he is highly skilled, has thorough knowledge of drumming styles and technique, and he is an excellent communicator. On top of that he is thoughtful, polite and listens carefully. This is all a very, very rare combination.

I had to play a couple of slow gospel tunes for a church service this summer; Jeff very quickly found suitable and tasteful grooves for me that were within my capability to play. He also worked with me on some rudiments and provided invaluable feedback. I can't recommend him highly enough."

"We Love Love Love Ray. My son is 8 years old. He is a beginner at drums and had his first lesson today at Rays (wonderful!) little studio with two drum sets in it. Ray started with a simple rhythm that my son had to copy and they practiced it together a couple of times. Then Ray showed him what that rhythm looked like, written down on paper and how you can read the notes so you can play it (anything) again. Then they both put headphones on and played the same rhythm along with a song of (in this case) Michael Jackson, picking up the tempo. This made it all the more fun, because my son felt like he was already actually making some real music!
My son loved his first class with Ray and I am very happy too. Ray is structured, has loads and loads of enthusiasm and is very skilled. On top of that he knows how to teach! We can’t wait untill his next class."

"Working with Garrett has been a wonderful experience. I was nervous to take drum lessons at first, but the environment at Garrett's studio is really comfortable, and he is very easy to talk to. As far as the lessons go, Garrett is great at breaking complicated topics down, and he pays a lot of attention to the fine details. Whenever I have trouble with something, he always has other ways of explaining the concept and fines a way to make it click with me. Garrett is also just as good with jazz as he is with rock and pop. We started with a lot of rock grooves and technique, and now we're working on my reading, jazz comping, and soloing. I learn something new at every lesson and always have a good time doing so--I'd highly recommend Garrett to anyone!"

"Lets start off with Andrew, he is a great teacher. He is straight-forward when he needs to be, and doesn't beat around the bush. However he is highly considerate and friendly. As a high school student in a high competition area, my fellow percussionist lack guidance in terms of what to know about drums/percussion. I came into the year having bad technique, poor reading skills (reading music), and not a lot of confidence in playing in front of my class (solos required by school). Andrew was able to help me with all of those things. Also, i never feel rushed, and you can go at your own pace, yet some how there is always improvement. If your having any doubts, one lesson would clear those up. All in all, Andrew is a great teacher, and i look forward to continuing my lessons with him. (I have had about 18 lessons with him so far)"
