About Francisco P.

Drums is my primary instrument, the one I chose to follow as a career in music. Drums make us dance, make us smile, and they are simply extremely fun to play. The most important thing I focus on is in playing music with the drums. There is nothing more rewarding and fun than playing with and for other people. Whether you are interested in learning how to play your favorite pop or rock song or a jazz standard, I can teach you what makes drumming unique in each style, and what you will need to know to express yourself in the instrument.
About Francisco
*** Lesson Details ***
I custom make my lessons to fit each of my student's needs and goals. If you want to study Metal drumming, I won't aim my lessons to teach the same material I teach to a student who wants to learn Latin music, or Jazz. Music is never ending, and different music affects each person differently. Also, every person has a different voice in their instrument. That's why what works for what some people doesn't do it for others. I focus on what is important to YOU, and what better suits your interests.
*** Travel Equipment ***
I could provide the students with sticks and the materials to work on. I would expect the students to provide the necessary books when needed. A drumset is not required for beginners, although it will be for more advanced students.
*** Specialties ***
My teaching method focuses on the interest of the student. I try to have my classes follow each student's own interest and goals, and guide them on the best possible ways to help them achieve those. I try to present short term goals for my students, to ensure that they can experience a feeling on success that will keep them motivated. I specialize in Rock and Pop music, as well as Latin music (Brazilian and Afro-Caribbean in particular).

I Teach beginner thru advanced.
I have been teaching drums for 25 years.
I teach all drum set styles and enjoy teaching students how to practice using their creative side of the mind.
my philosophy is to show yo how you can be as good as you aspire to be.
About Michael
Attending Musicians Institute in 1987 was the starting point of my commitment to myself to improve and be the best player i can be. I Graduated from MI with Honors and started playing with bands and continued to practice many hours a day. By 1994 I was teaching 30 -60 students a week. I have maintained that schedule for 15 years.
By 1997 I was playing live 2- 4 night a week every week for many years. I have played Thousands of shows in my career. Playing live is one of the best teachers.
Another significant part of my education was studying the physiology of playing drums (or any musical instrument.) This had a major positive effect on my practice habits and i bring this info to my students in a "short and sweet" manner of explanation. I will give you the facts of improving on a musical instrument.
I also love the art of songwriting and been fortunate to win several songwriting awards with my band Cohesive in 2008, 2009 and 2010

One of my lessons styles is designed to get you playing from your imagination. Improvisation inspired by the sounds you are creating. In that process I will give you important information about how you earned the sound, so you can always be inspired to create. This can be a fun method for many people. Others students favor playing 2 drumsets at the class and like to rely on the visual aspects of learning.
I have studied the physiology of playing a musical instrument in detail. I like to sprinkle in the facts while we are learning a pattern or piece of music. This knowledge can greatly enhance your practice results.
Students are Always welcome to share more specific things they are interested in working on. I enjoy teaching all drumset concepts including Linear style, Ghost Notes,
compound stickings, double bass style, rudiments, rudiment applications, soloing, ostinatos. I have a few highly recommended method books that work very well. I also really like when students bring in a song they like. My teaching style is a laid back style but i do love to discuss and exercise strong discipline to students who are open to it. 3 months into lessons you can expect to be playing a number of different beats and song(s). I am very good at recognizing the way you are most comfortable learning.
I also play piano and guitar and have access to both instruments at your lesson so we can jam when you want.
*** Studio Equipment ***
Studio rooms: several drum kits, computer, recording gear, PA sound system
Piano and Guitars. video taping lessons available
*** Travel Equipment ***
Drum Pad, Snare, Sticks
It would be good if student had a drum set at home but not completely necessary in the beginning.
*** Specialties ***
I am very accomplished on Drumset. I play and study all styles
Jazz, Latin, Rock, Funk, Fusion, Big Band, World and all drumset concepts Linear, Compound stickings, Ghost Notes, Rudiments and rudimental application. Rhythm/Timing, Physiology Soloing, Ostinatos, Odd Meters, Odd Note Groupings, 4 way co-ordination,

About Michelle
I have traveled the world to perform and teach music. I have been to Brazil to study samba and its many different styles through the World Percussion Program of CSU Long Beach in 2006 and 2007. In 2012, I traveled to Colombia and Venezuela to perform with the band of Terratour, a humanitarian group. My close friend and I performed his inspirational and encouraging music. We collaborated with local musicians in local venues. I have alwa
You may have notice I'm a Carpenters fan! I sing, play piano and drums. The Carpenters are my musical inspirations and that's exactly how I perform- with passion and tender, love, and care. I was once the other musical half of a Carpenters tribute band, Close To You. My friend and I learned many of the Carpenters tunes and collaborated with vocals, piano, steel drums, drums and other percussion. We have disbanded, but even before forming the band, I was always singing and playing drums/piano simultaneously on my own and still continue to.
I am available for online, in-home, or in-studio lessons. If your child younger than 5 can count to 10 and knows the alphabet, then I would be happy to add him/her to my roster. If you want to develop your talent, I can do that with you. You have all the ability and power to learn and be great- I'm just going to guide you all the way to your goal.
Please notify me of the special need prior to booking lessons so I can accommodate.

CloseMy teaching method always revolves around keeping things loose and fun. However while we are working toward your goals (learning a specific drum pattern or playing along to your favorite band) I will be making sure that we are addressing important technique issues including dynamics, grip, posture and others.
Our lessons together can be customized any way you wish so no matter what your drumming goals are we can get there together. I look forward to hearing from you!

I've been teaching drums to students of all ages since 2004. I'm available for lessons at my home studio or your house, and I'm great with kids, however I ask that your child is at least 6 years old. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play basic drum beats and play along to some of your favorite songs. At the same time, we'll work on good drumming technique, note reading, developing good timing, and more. I'm a very patient and positive teacher and would be excited to hear from you! I pride myself on having long-term student retention. :)
About Alexa
I went to Berklee College of Music and earned a degree in Professional Music in 2004 (GPA 3.9). I also attended the L.A. Music Academy from 1998-99 (now Los Angeles College of Music).

The drums are the backbone of most music, so you have to be able to feel the groove and stay tight and on top of the beat. I encourage students to pick their favorite songs, and we drum to those while learning proper technique, rudiments, song form, fills, rhythm, different grooves / beats, and anything they want to know about the drums. I have been playing the drums for over sixteen years and have a Bachelor's Degree in Music from the Berklee College of Music. Drums is a beautiful art and form of expression and is just the tip of the iceberg we can tackle called Music.
About Eric
I think music is the most beautiful thing in the world, so lets take time to learn and play music together.
I have been playing the drums for over sixteen years, and been in over fifteen bands in the course of that time. I have a degree in Music from the Berklee College of Music were I studied music theory and focused on Music Production and Engineering. I have been playing Piano, Bass, and Guitar for about ten years in addition to the drums, and have been recorded in sessions on each. I have a deep passion for synthesizers and electronic music, so lets make some bleeps and bloops together.
I am extremely kind, friendly, and funny so lessons with me are very relaxed and have an easy to learn environment. However I am very passionate about teaching to fit student needs; so if a student likes deadlines and homework, if that is w
