I equally cover fundamentals, technique, tone production, classical, jazz and anything else the student might be interested in.

About Nathan
I have been teaching private lessons for close to 10 years and have been an active performer for even longer, playing in all different types of groups, from rock bands and jazz groups to orchestras and brass bands. I studied music at Frostburg State University (Bachelors) and the Peabody Conservatory (Masters). I can teach just about any age and skill level and cover anything you are interested in learning; whether its a certain style, genre, technique or song.

*** Lesson Details ***
My lessons are laid back, with a focus on perfecting the basics. Most students work out of a method book appropriate to their skill level. Aside from that we'll also spend time learning songs and pieces of the students choice. With the right amount of effort, you'll know your way around your instrument in no time at all

*** Travel Equipment ***
Will provide sheet music and exercises. My students should have a working instrument as well as any method book or sheet music we are working on.

*** Specialties ***
I teach all styles and genres

This is the first lesson I got to listen to of my son working with Nathan. Usually I'm not home from work. I am really impressed with how much he was able to help my son improve so quickly. I wish we had started this much sooner.

About PAUL
*NEW SUMMER AVAILABILITY*

Hi, I'm Dr. Paul Lynch. I graduated in 2016 from Arizona State University with my Master of Music in Performance. I completed my DMA program at Arizona State University in 2019.

With almost a decade of teaching experience, I provide personalized one-on-one lessons. My goal is foster students who are relentless in chasing their musical goals. If you are a student wanting to prepare for college auditions, this is the studio for you. If you are returning to the trombone or just beginning your journey as a trombonist, this is the studio for you.

My performance experience is varied. I was a tenured member of the Washington-Idaho Symphony on bass trombone for five years. I left to pursue my Master an
d Doctoral degrees from ASU. Other orchestral experience includes several Summer Pops concerts with the Great Falls Symphony, some featured artists such as Kansas and Charlie Daniels. I spent several years playing in jazz bands, Jazz I from the University of Idaho and Concert Jazz Band from ASU. In the spring of 2016, I performed with ASU's Concert Jazz Band at Highland Jazz Festival where we featured Wayne Bergeron and Andy Martin. Recent performances include Salt River Brass' " Made in America" program featuring trumpet soloist Rex Richardson, Phoenix Theatre's run of "Bullets Over Broadway," and performing with and conducting the Arizona State University Trombone Ensemble at the 2017 International Trombone Festival. In December 2017, I made my solo debut performing with Salt River Brass. I recently attended the 2018 Pokorny Seminar where I worked with numerous musicians including Tim Higgins (SFO), Jim Markey (BSO), Dr. Andrew Glendening (Host/RSO), and Gene Pokorny (CSO).

I could tell Paul definitely knew all the tiny details about mastering the trombone since the first lesson. He recognized what I needed to improve upon in order to reach my goals in a timely manner, armed me with the tools to do so, and I have no doubt that I will achieve those goals as the lessons progress.

I had a great first lesson with Seth at his studio. Having come in with basically no music knowledge, he made it easy to understand the concepts being used and I feel like I made a good deal of progress. Can't wait for the next lesson.

I have been gigging, both classically and in jazz, in the greater DFW Metroplex for about 9 years. I attended high school close by, and I am the only two-time 6A All-State tenor trombonist in my city's history. I have completed two years at the University of North Texas, and have been teaching for approximately two years. I consistently double between tenor & bass trombone, having a great deal of experience in both instruments, in both classical and jazz settings. Outside of trombone, I also play trumpet/cornet, tuba, vocals, guitar, bass, and piano. I am an avid rock/metal listener, and compose my own music, mainly fusing metal and jazz. Because of this, I feel this makes me an extremely diverse instrumentalist. I have studied with such influential figures as Tony Baker (UNT, Dallas Opera Orchestra), Steve Menard (UNT, Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra), Dennis Bubert (UT Arlington, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra), and more.

About Daniel
I began playing in 6th grade. My dad is a guitarist/vocalist/flautist (he gigs in the south DFW area) and brought me up in a very musical household. Since then, I have played with groups such as Scott & Steve, Big Gus & Swampadelic, the Pecos River Brass Big Band, and some of UNT's top ensembles, including the U-Tubes, the 3:00 Lab Band, and the A Cappella Choir.

I've been a trombone player since beginning band in 4th grade! While it is my second instrument, I enjoyed playing in band, jazz band, and in my college pep band.

I am happy to help beginning students to make a good sound, learn notes, slide positions, and practice the music they are working on.

About Courtney
Hello, I am Courtney!

As a teacher I strive to meet each student where they are at so that our lessons can suit their strengths and needs. I can be a little silly with my young students and believe that music, while sometimes hard work, is most importantly for our enjoyment and emotional expression. I am very patient and love nothing more than a student's "aha!" moment, when something that seems difficult finally makes sense. I've been told by administrators that I have a very calming demeanor with students, which I believe has helped me to create a open and welcoming classroom.

I grew up in the mountain town of Stowe, Vermont, where I participated in music activities from the time I was a young child. I was part of our school's band, jazz band and chorus as well as participating in school and community theater both on and off stag
e. I've wanted to be a teacher since the age of 10, when my youngest sister was born. I loved babysitting, and took every opportunity I could to work with children as I grew up, including teaching Sunday School and being a music leader at a yearly camp. I chose to combine my two passions and become a music teacher, because I believed (and still do) that not only could I assist in their education, but that music is a wonderful tool to help students grow emotionally and socially as well. I now have been a licensed music teacher since 2012 and have a Bachelor's in Music Education from Hartt School of Music and a Master's in Music Education from Boston University.

After teaching in Connecticut for a number of years, my husband and I moved to our current home in Santa Monica, CA. We have a five-year-old fluffy corgi named Duke who lives a double life as a spoiled baby and a hard-working service dog. If you are in the Santa Monica area you may see us out and about at parks, people watching downtown, or generally enjoying the sun.
