About Scott
Hi! I'm Scott. I perform with a one-man band setup I created which utilizes a modified guitar and home-made foot pedals to control a drum set, while I sing on top of it all. I have a recording studio at home, and have performed with bands as a singer, guitarist, saxophonist, bassist, percussionist, and as a sound engineer. I've written, performed and recorded my own album which made it to the 2nd round of the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, and was a voting member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Grammy Committee and NARAS (National Association or the Recording Arts and Sciences.) I started piano lessons from age 5 and just kept picking up more instruments and gear as I got older and never stopped learning or enjoying it!

*** Lesson Details ***
I have been teaching Guitars, Basses, Percussion, Piano, Saxophone, Music Production, Re
cording, and Live Sound for 16 years.

I can teach you note-reading, tabs, ear training, music theory, composition, improvisation in just about any style of music.

Working with people writing songs is something I enjoy thoroughly; I can help you write and record your own songs. A computer and internet access are preferred to take full advantage of the technology for learning and producing music.

Knowledgeable in Instrument repair, set-up, and maintenance, I can help you fix it, and how to spot a good instrument.

Patient and experienced, with a broad knowledge of music in most areas, I can give you hundreds of good references from previous students I've taught over the years

*** Studio Equipment ***

Guitars, basses, percussion and drum sets, a piano, saxophones, hand drums, a 20-track digital recording studio with monitors that are equalized to the room's acoustics for accurate listening and mixing, plus an assortment of microphones, amps, mic stands, cables, and connectors.

I've been teaching Drums since 2004 and recently started back January 2013. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play all rudiments and as time goes on you'll be able to play in bands and in JH and HS bands. I typically use the Haskell Harr, and now include Alfred's Drum Method book for Snare; Tommy Igo for drum-set. His posters from Vic Firth are great resources. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels; I can't wait to meet you!

About Kerry
I attended Wright State University for two (2) years studying Music , and then transferred to Belmont University to receive a Bachelors of Music in Percussion Performance. A Masters of Music from Eastern Kentucky University will help overall General music and creative studies.

I also studied at the Eastman School of Music, learning Creative Music Making and African drum studies.

Lastly, I attended University of Dayton for Percussion, Music Technology, & World music, and different Samba schools in Salvador/Rio, Brazil for Samba studies.

I have been performing since 1984 for theatre shows, Pop/Rock, jazz, R & B, Circus’ (Great Wallendas), swing bands, American Entertainment Productions show band (One year), and performed with Holland America Cruise Line for three (3) years. Recently, I've been performing Musicals at Sinclair C

Drumming is challenging, and rewarding, but It's also supposed to be FUN ... it is for me, and I want my students to have some of that fun, too! I've played drums for 38 years and have taught since 1992. I use a wide variety of professional experiences along with my education background to help students of all ages reach their personal goals, whether it's to just play along with their favorite top-40 tunes, reach for more advanced music, or get ahead in their school's music program. I highly encourage feedback and student input regarding what we will work on together!

About Luc
After drumming for almost 40 years, I feel like I've nearly done it all, having played played Rock, small and big group Jazz, Classic R&B/Soul, Fusion, Funk, Folk, Reggae/World Music, Top-40, Heavy Rock, Classic and Contemporary Country, Blues, Electronic, Theater, and Cinematic/Soundtrack music.

I was self-taught at first by listening and playing along with recordings, and then studied under Maine greats Dick Demers and Steve Grover, and attended the University of Maine-Augusta in the Jazz and Contemporary music program. During the past few years, I've also started to play the Chapman Stick, and I've increased the amount of hand percussion in his bag of tricks.
My reputation in the Maine music scene is as a solid, first-rate musician, and throughout all of this, I've appeared on many recordings. I'm now the drummer in the 80’s part
y/dance band “The GE3KS” and in the original band “Goss”, with an Adult Contemporary/Alt Rock album currently being written and recorded, as well as hard rock originals with Jerry Perron, with an alum completed and slated for mastering at Abbey Road Studios over the summer and fall of 2017.

I've taught drum set in one-on-one settings since 1992, first at Spectrum Music in Lewiston and Brunswick, Maine, then at The Music Centre in Brunswick, and at The Drum Shop in Portland, as well as in my own home. I've also lectured at summer percussion camps, and authored a drum method book, "Beginning Drum Set Coordination," and published the first edition in 2004, with an updated second edition printed in 2016. In mid-2016, I re-joined the teaching staff at The Drum Shop, and shortly after joined the staff at The Midcoast School of Music, also in Portland.

Since November of 2016, I have been an artist endorser for Rich Sticks. Check them out; they make a fantastic quality product and they're a top-notch crew!

I have been learning music and playing music with Luc for over 30 years. He is a true student of the art and a patient and confident teacher. His depth of understanding and passion for music go far beyond just his substantial drumming, vocal and Chapman Stick talents. He is able to engage in the technical minutiae and the broad philosophical aspects of all styles. Time spent with Luc in the musical space will move you forward!

I have been playing drums for more than 10 years and have been teaching for more than 3. Throughout that time, I have played across the country in New York City and even in Japan. I am currently a Jazz Studies Major at Sacramento State University. My goal is to make every student a well-rounded drummer who knows whats going on when they are in any type of musical situation. My favorite style to play is jazz, specifically bebop, but I am well-rounded in all other styles such as rock, Latin, blues, funk, and country.

In my lessons, I base the material on the student depending on how advanced they are. If the student is just starting out, I will teach them the basics such as holding the drumsticks properly, basic rudiments, reading rhythms, learning about the hardware, and so on.

If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask :D

About Gabriel
I started playing drums when I was in second grade and formed a band with my 2 older brothers who played bass and guitar. It was something to do when we younger but when I got into high school, I took playing drums a lot more seriously. I was in a very competitive marching band playing bass drum and tenors in the drumline and at the same time, I was introduced to jazz drumming. The improvising aspect of jazz drumming sparked my love for it because the freedom it gave me to express myself was something drumline could not do. After getting state recognition for my playing in jazz bands, I transferred to a high school with a more intensive jazz program. I am currently a jazz studies major at California State University, Sacramento. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

Hello friends! I'm a senior at the USC Thornton School of Music. My focus is drumset performance, but I also teach beginner piano and guitar. I have been drumming for 17 years and am currently gigging frequently with pop and rock acts. I also will occasionally be touring this year, so online lessons are preferred so that we can continue your instruction while I'm on the road! Please feel free to hit me with any questions before we start lessons!

About Carter
Hello! I have a Bachelors of Music at the USC Thronton School of Music, and I've been drumming for 18 years. At USC I've had the incredible opportunity to study with musical greats such as Ndugu Chancler and Patrice Rushen. They have passed down much of their wisdom, and I'm excited to share with you the knowledge I've acquired from them and my schooling at USC. I gig consistently around the Los Angeles area with artists such as BAUM, and I'm busy finishing my bands first full-length record! Just got back from an east coast tour with pop artist, Shane. My schedule will fluctuate with touring, but would love to make something work! Please feel free send me any questions regarding the lessons. I look forward to hearing from you!

I have spent many hours behind a drum set, so if you're a new drummer I would be happy to get your journey started. Basic rhythms, rudiment exercises, different drumming styles...etc

About Ryan
Hi my name is Ryan and I'm a classical guitar student pursuing a degree in Music Therapy. I am fairly new to teaching, which is why I think I would be a good candidate for beginner students. It will be my goal to give you the learning experience that YOU want. Since everyone learns differently, I will want you to tell me what interests you and we can let that be a guide for where to start your lessons as well as what subjects to expound upon. So, if you're just wanting to learn some guitar chords or you're interested in learning the fundamentals of music theory so that you can begin to sight read sheet music, I am here to help. :)

Thanks, -Ryan

Hello! I am a 22 year old musician based in the DC area who has been playing drums for almost 20 years. I mainly focus on the drumset and how to play with others or play along with the music you like. I can also teach theory, reading and different percussion instruments. In my studio I have two drumsets facing each other so I can show you things as we learn them, and we can jam together. I also have an electric guitar nearby that I can plug into for real world experience! The styles I specialize in are rock, punk, metal, pop, and latin. I like to cater the learning experience specifically to each student, because everyone wants something different out of there lessons. Tell me what you want to learn and I will work with you!

About Eric
Hey! My name is Eric, I am a drummer, guitarist, bassist, and songwriter based in the DC area. I currently play guitar in one touring alternative/punk rock band, bass in an indie-pop band, and drums in a punk/metal band.

I graduated from Syracuse University in 2017 with a Bachelors in Music and Entertainment Industries. Growing up my dad gave drum lessons out of our basement which is where I first learned. When I'm not playing gigs I work at a popular music venue in DC as a production manager. I specialize in drumming, guitar, and songwriting. I have experience teaching kids and adults, and I have a home studio with lots of instruments and multiple drum sets to mess around with. I have recorded multiple albums for friends and myself at my home, and can teach about that too if students are interested.

My teaching style is laid back but
productive. I am patient with students and able to communicate in a way that someone of any level can understand and relate with.
