My name is Ethan Warden. I'm a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison where I received my Masters of Music Performance degree. Prier my adventure here at UW - Madison, I received my Bachelor of Music education - Instrumental from Missouri State University.

Students can expect an in-depth knowledge base of the trombone, including repertoire, fundamentals, and techniques, guiding them through a fun, relaxed lesson.

Students can be expected to play not just repertoire provided from their school but also assignments given by me. I enjoy teaching to better my Students musicianship not just to get in to region band or get Superior ratings at solo and ensemble. Bettering ones musicianship will almost certainly lead to these things however.

Teaching style emphasizes fundamentals as a jumping-off point to whatever styles interest the student. Comfortable teaching orchestral excerpts, solo repertoire, and jazz improvisation.

Experienced Trombone teacher of 2 years available for eager beginners! I structure my lessons in such a way that students are able to learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of technical ability and excellent musicianship. I specialize in concert band and orchestral styles of music, however I can teach jazz styles as well. For beginning students I typically use Measures of Success Book #1: Trombone. For intermediate students I recommend Standard of Excellence book #2 and book #3.
