If you were curious about keyboard skills, I can help teach you. I'll show you the basic skills you'll need to at least play a simple song on the keyboard and know what you're doing. I've had piano lessons as a youngster, then I switched to the guitar.

About Larry

First off, I want to mention something that potential Philadelphian students should be aware of. I can only go to certain sections of the city, and I can only give you lessons on weekday afternoons between 12-2pm. Sorry, no evening classes. I'll need time to travel between New Jersey and Pennsylvan

Larry came well prepared and was very informative. I’ve never played the guitar before so Larry had to start from ground zero. At the end of the lesson I felt I had learned not just about playing the guitar but music in general. It was a great start!
Austin
very informative and mellow....starting with basics and slowly getting to know the speed I need to grasp it! Happy to have Larry in our home, can't wait for next lesson.

Learn to play the king of all instruments! Receiving a degree in organ performance from Brigham Young University allows me to be on the cutting edge of all innovations in this area of the music industry. You won't ever get bored learning to play this instrument. It is a constant challenge but is incredibly rewarding.

About Levi

There are ways of expressing emotion and feeling emotion that can only be felt through music. I believe this is because music has the ability to connect all of us with the divine. My first priority with every student is to help them feel the music they are making on a level deeper than how the mus

I am a beginning organ student and just learning the beauty of the sounds this wonderful instrument creates. Levi has helped me interpret hymns for church playing in a way I never before thought of or felt. He already has me playing half the hymns I play in church with the pedals. He pushes me “just right” to help me accomplish more than I would think possible. I highly recommend investing your future piano or organ abilities with Levi’s expert and thoughtful tutoring.

Levi has been patient with me and supportive of my working through processes at my own pace.

I am an adult beginner violinist. When I first met Stephanie, I had barely touched a violin, but I was determined to learn how to play it. With her help and patience, I am progressing through the Suzuki method as well as doing ear training and music theory. Stephanie is an excellent musician as well as instructor! Her method of teaching keeps the students engaged, encouraged and excited about learning music from all sides of it.

I strongly recommend Ms. Quinn. She is amazing. I love a teacher who is passionate about what she does and Ms. Quinn has motivated me to love the violin and work harder to improve. She is slightly strict but very patience and kind, always pushing you to work hard and do your best. I learned to play violin a few years ago as a beginner and stopped playing for a few years. I was nervous to begin online violin lessons considering that I learn better face to face. However, Ms. Quinn has done an amazing job at teaching me, I have been taking lessons with her for a year now and have learned so much I didn’t know before which has also grown my love for violin.
Hui F.
Stephanie helped my younger one prepare for competition. She was highly skillful, supportive yet strict. Initially, my girl was a bit nervous to work with Stephanie because of her high reputation. Stephanie was very kind and fun, using metaphors to help my 10-year old understand the music. She not only helped my child overcome barriers to master the music piece but also shared much practical advice for competition. We did not expect this but my 10-year old won the first prize and was invited to perform in Carnegie Hall New York. Highly recommend Stephanie!!!

I teach both baroque and modern technique on a tracker action instrument, which is then applicable to modern instruments. My teaching style is rooted in developing a technique that is centered, focused, and free. Beginning organ students should have reached an intermediate level of piano performance and be tall enough to sit comfortably on a lowered organ bench with feet touching the pedals without flexing.

About Mark

I am an active performer eager to teach organ, piano, voice, and provide collaborative keyboard accompaniment to vocalists. I teach youth and adults. Private lessons are given at my church in Worcester or online through the TakeLessons platform. I also teach in-home piano lessons. My students have

3 Reasons Why Piano Players Should Also Learn the Organ

There are many reasons why a music student may find themselves learning to play piano on a keyboard rather than on a baby grand: cost, space, or simply lack of access, for example. Versatility on a range of keyboard instruments is also an extremely useful string for any pianist to have to their bow, and can lead to greater practice and public performance opportunities, and even excellent opportunities to earn a little money on the side. The organ, although not the most prevalent or popular musi …
