I am a world-class, international touring singer/songwriter. My original songs have been played on over 200 radio and television stations all over the world, including the NPR syndicated series "UnderCurrents." I have studied with the top songwriting teachers from Los Angeles and also Berklee College. I have won ASCAPlus Awards for 7 years, and I am a member of The Recording Academy (The Grammys). I have taught songwriting for over 22 years.
Gfire has been teaching and performing music full-time for over 17 years. Based in Austin, Texas, the "Live Music Capital of the World," she offers voice, piano, songwriting, yoga, folk guitar, and DJ'ing lessons to students from 5-105 and she specializes in sculpting her lessons to the strengths and desires of each individual student. Her students range from beginning to advanced levels, and they sing and play a multitude of musical styles, including classical, pop, rock, r 'n' b, country, folk, singer-songwriter, musical theater, blues and more.
Gfire loves to share her talents with her students. She prides herself on instilling a "sense of mastery" to each of her singing and piano students, no matter on which level they are. The students come away with a real sense of knowing their songs and their instruments inside out an
d with a real sense of confidence in their musicianship. Plus they have a lot of fun as they make musical progress!
Gfire is also an award-winning singer-songwriter and "Yoga for the Voice" innovator. She has released 4 CDs of all-original music and is currently working on her 5th CD, to be released in 2015.
As a teacher, Gfire works with students of all levels and all areas of interest. In October 2007, Gfire became the only vocal teacher in the Western Hemisphere to gain full certification in the Science of Singing, developed by Ernest G. White of London, England. Her unique voice training program, entitled "Yoga for the Voice," combines this knowledge of the Science of Singing with ancient yoga breathing techniques. This technique allows each voice student to develop a "vocal tune-up" for the voice AND to discover what the natural singing range is and how to use the voice as effectively as possible. With the internet SKYPE technology, Gfire teaches voice students all over the world, from Switzerland to the U.K. to New Zealand to New York.
Her vocal students have sung in touring rock bands, on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry, in successful auditions, in karaoke clubs, in coffee houses and folk clubs, at weddings and for their own enjoyment amongst family and friends. Whatever level of singing training you wish to acquire, she will show you the way to achieve it!
Gfire was also the main voice instructor and one of 3 main piano teachers at the Austin branch of Mars Music (now defunct) for 3 1/2 years. In addition to her vocal study and innovation, she has studied piano with top classical and jazz pianists, studied songwriting with Pat Pattison of Berklee College in Boston, gotten her full yoga teaching certification in 2004 and DJ'd at clubs and parties worldwide. For eight years straight - 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 - she has won the prestigious ASCAPlus Award for professional songwriting.
As a singer-songwriter, Gfire continues to write, record and perform with some of the best musicians and engineers in the world, including engineer Stuart Sullivan (Willie Nelson, Sublime, Meat Puppets, etc.), Hammond organ player Ian McLagen (Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart), cellist John Hagen (Lyle Lovett), fiddle/mandolin player Warren Hood (The Waybacks), bassist George Reiff (Ray Wylie Hubbard) and banjo picker Danny Barnes (Bad Livers, Dave Matthews).
Gfire's original songs have been played on over 200 radio and television stations worldwide. She has toured in over half of the fifty states, plus the U.K. and Canada.

Hello! Thank you for your interest in taking guitar/piano/music lessons.
I am a professional teacher/studio musician/performer/producer with over 20 years of private teaching experience and a graduate of the University of Miami Studio Music and Jazz program in 2002 specializing in the guitar.
I am available to teach guitar(acoustic, electric, classical) for all levels, ages, and styles(pop to folk, rock to soul, world to classical) in English, Spanish and Japanese.
Other subjects taught include bass guitar, piano/keyboard, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, harmonium, classical percussion, music theory, composition(all styles from pop to classical), ear training, and studio production/engineering/mixing.
Born in Cali, Colombia on April 1979, I began my musical endeavors studying the piano at the age of 6. Early on I had the opportunit
y to play percussion in the school symphony while at the same time developed an intense interest in the instrument that would become my true love, the guitar.
During 1996-98 I studied jazz guitar at the New World School of the Arts music program under the direction of J.B. Dyas and Dr. Roby George. Upon graduation, I was immediately accepted to the University of Miami jazz guitar program under the direction of Randall Dollahan. It was during this time that I also refined my skills as a classical guitarist and as a composer/arranger. In addition, I began passing my knowledge onto friends and eventually began working as a teacher.
My ability to play almost any genre of music is the fruit of past experience playing with an impressive variety of music groups, including jazz combos, symphony orchestras, Andean world music ensembles, and several rock and pop groups as well. As a studio guitarist I have recorded for various artists including Jaci Velasquez, Carlos Ponce, Alexandre Pires, and Noelia.

*** Lesson Details *** In my lessons I take a step by step approach on learn how to move and how to understand the instrument at hand. I require all of my students to learn how to read sheet music and how to translate onto their instrument. I'm a laid back teacher and will teach what is most appealing to the student but in an academic style. I teach the student not just to play but to understand what it is he or she is playing. I will cater to any level of playing and help give a path to further their knowledge of playing.
Carissa Austria, age 8, learned piano with Jeff. Her lessons were instrumental in giving her the incentive to practice on her own. Jeff created lessons that made my daughter curious on how to play on her own and experimented with certain keys and sounds. Thank you Jeff for giving my daughter the deep insight to playing the piano not only from her weekly lessons but encouraging her to practice on her own with minimum supervision.
Hello, thank you for your interest in taking music classes and reading my profile! :) My name is Yuliya Borshchova,
Over the past 15 years, I have taught hundreds of classes both children and adults students. My specialties are: 1. Piano 2. Vocal 3. Music Theory 4. Music composition and improvisation class 5. Ear training
Learning about music can be complicated and confusing especially when there are so many courses; different methods available just click away on the internet. There are a lot to learn as notation, chords, rhythmical patterns, music terminology, music styles and so on.
It is like learning new language could be overwhelming and make many students give up on their dream. Also learning on your own without any step by step instructions, easy- to follow method and goals in mind can make you fr
ustrated and lose your motivation and enthusiasm very fast.
I've been studying music since I was 6 years old. First 7 years in Music school, then 4 years of Music college and another 4 years in Conservatory of Music in Kazakhstan. I graduated as a choir conductor, pianist, and vocalist. With 15 years of music studying and 15 years of teaching piano and voice to hundreds of students of all levels, I know all struggles and obstacles you might have and I know what works to overcome it and be the best musician you can be!
For me teaching music classes it's not just assignment to make my students understand the concept and develop skills, but much more;
1. First of all, I must know a student's need.
Why do you want to learn? What is behind of that intention? What is your goal and how I can help you reach it? Sometimes we discovering it together in the process of learning setting new and new goals as you progress.
I will be able to help you better and take you to the direction you want to go to after identifying the starting point, where do we begin?
2. Second, I believe that any learning will be successful if you are having fun and a good time doing it, feeling encouraged. I'm very generous in praising to my students, high fives, hugs, stickers any anything to make my students feel good about accomplishing the even small assignment. I also know that If you feel bored or frustrated you not going to stick for a long time with your commitment and you not going to learn anything.
Playing a musical instrument or singing is a very personal experience and I design my classes and choose music and techniques the way that it suits your level and fit your personality. I try to make my classes fun, challenging and building the momentum so you can get most out the class and most importantly you are having fun while learning and engaged in the process.
3. Third, For my piano, voice and theory classes I use easy to follow the method of developing skills, techniques, and understanding of the concept. I always break challenging parts in small steps which make it easy to understand and learn.
4. Fourth, you will always have goals set up and quick start action plan which is broken into small easy assignments. The quick start plan shows exactly how you can get going in record time and get off to a great start. For that purpose, I use different method books and different music pieces.
You have a clear direction what your goals are and how to achieve them and progress when you practicing on your own.
5. Teaching my students is not a job for me, it's enjoyment and commitment to share my passion for music and knowledge, inspire and encourage them. Music has changed my life and I hope I'll help you to change yours!
My goal is to make every class to be built around these 5 aspects mentioned above, as well as provide value, demonstrate and encourage.
My mission to make sure that my students learning at their own speed without any pressure, without feeling overwhelmed or frustrated, understanding the concept I am teaching to. Also, I want to make sure that they are walking out of class with a sense of accomplishment and understanding the concept which is important for making progress and moving forward.
Lastly, I am committed to the success of my students and eager to build a long-term relationship with them. I'm flexible and committed, some of my students have been with me
Lesson process: I am teaching one on one classes in my home studio here in North Miami Florida, or via Skype or Google+ Hangout, you could be anywhere in the world and take the class with me.
The time of the lessons may vary, I usually suggest 30 min a trial lesson to meet and greet, as well as establish goals. We will talk about the schedule and will set up a regular schedule around convenient time for both.
1. Beginners are taken through the fundamentals.
2. You will explore a range of pieces to expand your skills and begin to identify your preferences.
3. On first lesson, you will be learning new exercises to get you started and homework assignments.
4. Also, you going to get work/method book and practice plan
Good luck and hope I can help you to take piano playing, singing or music writing to the next level! If you have any question prior to signing up you are welcome to contact me through Q&A.

I am a professional Singer Songwriter and my specialty is in teaching singers how to write their own lyrics and melody.
I am a professional singer in Austin Texas. I play live shows, I have gone on tour and have released an album. I love teaching people what I know. After singing behind closed doors for a portion of my life and secretly dreaming of being a singer, one day, I decided to take the plunge and start living my dream. I began writing music, playing live shows and training to teach voice. Shortly after, I started accepting students and helped them conquer their fears.
After I conquered my own fears of singing, the world of opportunity opened up for me. I filled the role of choir director for a local church and my music now plays on Pandora, Spotify and I-tunes! I love to share my knowledge as a singer and aspire to teach fellow singers everything I know as a vocalist.
Love my classes with Hilary so far! I'm developing myself as a songwriter to launch my professional music project very soon. Half of the class is basic piano in order to be able to come up with melodies and the other half is writing lyrics/songs. Hilary is very sweet, patient and explains terms/theory in a very clear and easy way to understand. Songwriting can be a very vulnerable thing to do and Hilary creates a safe, professional space for the writing to happen. I'm excited to take more classes with her and definitely recommend her!
I am well known for both my ability to arrange songs for specific needs/players as well as for my composition. I will teach you how to develop melodies, chords and lyrics.

She has accompanied all these ensembles on Piano, Guitar, and Organ.
Lisa Abrams teaches all areas of music: Theory, Technic, Reading, Counting, Ear Training, Composition, etc. When you take lessons from Lisa, her goal is more than teaching you how to play or sing a song. She gives you the tools necessary to be able to play ANY song. She teaches what few others teach; how to BE a music
ian. She wants you to be able to pursue any avenue of Music that appeals to you, professionally or personally.
Songwriting is my specialty! Whether you play an instrument or NOT, we can focus on playing & singing, just the songwriting, or a little of everything. Reach out so we can make a plan just for you!
Hi! My name is Kaia, I'm passionate about teaching students in the way that makes the most sense to them, & inspiring others to reach their potential. I encourage students to play & sing when they are interested and try composing their own songs. "I have worked on songwriting with Colin for years and he is a very versatile and skilled songwriter. He does a great job helping you find the style you w
ant to write in and fill in the holes in your skill-set. Definitely would recommend!"
"Super passionate and knowledgable of his craft. His personal story is inspiring. Warning! He will take you to the edge to make you improve."
"My daughter (age 9) had an excellent time working with Fernando and has been super motivated to keep songwriting. They wrote the cutest songs and we're pl
anning on having Fernando record her in the studio when he gets back to Fort Wayne!"
"Lorin helped me hone my songwriting skills immensely, by not only teaching but collaborating with me when necessary. It was refreshing to find someone who
put his teachings into practical learning, where I could see the outcomes become apparent. He’s a nice dude, and is experienced equally across his fields. He guided me to making intelligent choices for equipment purchases, both instruments and pro audio gear. We first met while he was living in New York, and boy has he traveled since. I think living in so many different states, and being that well journeyed has given him good cultural depth to his work. Check out some of his own collabs with singers and musicians from all over the world...that really says it all."
"So, if you need a music coach, Fawn is the one! She teaches just about all things music! She is honestly the best. Fawn is always friendly and works with
you on all possible songwriting, melodic and lyrical issues. She is also great with working with your schedule. Fawn is easy to talk to and she brings up thought provoking topics I would have never thought to write about. We work in Google Docs so I can see as she makes adjustments and changes. I am learning more than I thought imaginable and my songwriting is getting stronger and tighter. Thanks Fawn!"
"I enjoy my song writing coach Frankie. His knowledge and patience was well appreciated."
"I love working with Keira. She is equally fun as she is serious about teaching and I really appreciate that."
"Mimi is very patient and knowledgeable and informative. She is a true inspiration for my songwriting. Definitely several points above average!"
"I love lessons with Keira! She is so friendly and knowledgeable, and she really cares about her students."
