Private Drum Teacher

Aside from teaching various styles of music on drum set, I also teach more classical type percussion (including mallet percussion)

About Nathan

I have been teaching private lessons for close to 10 years and have been an active performer for even longer, playing in all different types of groups, from rock bands and jazz groups to orchestras and brass bands. I studied music at Frostburg State University (Bachelors) and the Peabody Conservatory (Masters). I can teach just about any age and skill level and cover anything you are interested in learning; whether its a certain style, genre, technique or song.

*** Lesson Details ***
My lessons are laid back, with a focus on perfecting the basics. Most students work out of a method book appropriate to their skill level. Aside from that we'll also spend time learning songs and pieces of the students choice. With the right amount of effort, you'll know your way around your instrument in no time at all

*** Travel Equipment ***

Will provide sheet music and exercises. My students should have a working instrument as well as any method book or sheet music we are working on.

*** Specialties ***
I teach all styles and genres

This is the first lesson I got to listen to of my son working with Nathan. Usually I'm not home from work. I am really impressed with how much he was able to help my son improve so quickly. I wish we had started this much sooner.

Private Drum Teacher

After years of playing with some of the best musicians on the planet, as well as learning from the great masters of the past, giving clinics and guiding countless students through their musical paths, I've built gradual methods of internalizing rhythm and movement that are meant to not only help the student learn that which they're pursuing in the most efficient way possible, but inspire them along the way -- cultivating their passion and encouraging them to engage with the material with the type of fascination and curiosity that brings about the best student they can be.

We will be working on knowing where One is, technique and movement around the drums/pad, soloing, harmonic rhythm, as well as any material the student themselves would like to work on.

About Daniel

Touring drummer, educator, multi-instrumentalist, clinician and composer, collaborated with artists such as Avishai Cohen, Pat Metheny, John Patitucci and others, teaching private lessons in Brooklyn.

The methods of internalizing rhythm I've developed are intended at providing the student with an inspiring, musical approach to their practice, so as to become the best drummers they could be. The material is built for ALL LEVELS, from the aspiring beginner to the most advanced professional. We will explore the fundamentals of rhythm, movement, coordination, phrasing, and anything else we'd consider to be in-service of the music

*** Travel Equipment ***
I expect a snare drum, drum set or electric drum set.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in teaching my students in a fun way. Splitting my lessons up with curriculum and then letting them choose a song to learn. I'm also good with younger students

Private Drum Teacher

I've been playing drums since I was 8 years old, and I've been teaching regularly since 14. I love everything drums/percussion related and I really want to share everything I've learned at a reasonable price so others can experience the same joy that I know I do.

I'm the oldest of 6 boys and have a lot experience working with kids. My approach to teaching values having fun over anything, this is music after all.

About avi

Great teacher with a lot of patience and a very creative way of communicating. The best part was that as a french person, I was to take the lesson in French! Patrick is bilingual.

Private Drum Teacher

Looking for affordable In-house drum lessons! Look no further. I have studied under many world-renown teachers and have codified a method for creating a strong foundation for all aspects of playing the drums, covering in depth the three key aspects: muscle control, facility around the kit, and tone quality. Everything I teach is universal, it can be applied to any type of music.
Part of my lesson plan involves meeting the ambitions of the individual, and in forming a strong respect and love between the aspiring drummer and the instrument they own. This is why my lessons are In-house. I will include the books on the first lesson, so that they can get right to practicing in their own space.

About Christian

Hello!
My name is Christian Fox, I am a Drummer, guitarist, producer, and projectionist from New York City. I graduated in 2018 with a BFA from The New School of Jazz and Contemporary Music, specifically in Drum Set studies.

My students can primarily expect to develop strong rhythmic sensibilities. Rhythm is a crucial aspect of any instrumental development, and is the key to going from playing scales to mastering improvisation, or anywhere in between! Wherever you are in your musical journey, advancing your rhythmic abilities will open many doors in your playing.

Students will also feel confident in their understanding of music theory and analysis. I take a step by step approach to building the foundations of theory as well as ear training, and students will leave being able to identify what they are hearing in musical terms and vocabul

ary, forming the connection between the ears and the mind, and ultimately the body.

I know all of the biggest challenges any aspiring musician will have to face, and they have taken me across the country to many teachers and methodologies throughout my lifetime. My personal journey is far from over, but nonetheless I can offer many insights and provide all that you will need to grow. I look forward to beginning our journey together!

From the beginning I have felt that Alex is very invested in my success and like every great teacher, he challenges me. Alex's teaching style is a combination of teaching, observing and correcting technique, addressing mindset (really important), and wanting the student to feel the joy of discovering how to play real songs with every lesson. He is patient and encouraging, with just the right word at the right time. Combined with his vast knowledge of music, lessons and homework are packed with useful info that is broken down in a way that’s easy to understand. He also demonstrates how everything is applied through multiple musical styles,, so you can get a sense of the potential of your own playing in the future while broadening your musical horizons, which is a bonus.. You will get out of it only what you put into it, so regular practice is key otherwise it's easy to get behind. But Alex will adjust if something is not working, which is very motivating. Great teacher. Recommend 100%.

Private Drum Teacher

I have been teaching privately for over 9 years and playing since the age of 6. My studies have taken me through music performance programs at William Paterson University, Manhattan School of Music, and The Drummers Collective. I've performed at venues throughout the country in a wide variety of musical settings (jazz, rock, theater, marching band, etc). Lessons are focused on each individual student's musical interests and a strong foundation on the instrument. From beginners to professionals, lessons will be tailored to fit the student's needs and goals.

About Steven

My name is Steven Crammer and I am professional drummer and teacher based in New York City. I have a B.M (jazz performance) from William Paterson University, a certificate from Drummer's Collective, and am working towards my M.M. (jazz performance) from Manhattan School of Music. I have performed around the country in a wide variety of musical settings (jazz, rock, theater, marching band, etc.) and taught privately for 9 years, as well as given clinics/masterclasses.

Although my formal education is focused on jazz, I perform and teach many styles of music. I am as comfortable playing/teaching rock and metal as I am with jazz and world music. Beginners to advanced players are all welcome,

The lessons are flexible based on each student's specific needs and interests. I want the student to have a relationship with music and the instru

ment. We will work on building a strong foundation (technique, groove, time) as well as being creative and working towards the student's personal musical goals.

"Danny is the best Drum teacher I have ever met. He is super patient and can get the kids playing really well. He did so good with one of my kids that I

"Professional and Fun

Murray does a great job of encouraging the student while he is teaching. He takes the time needed to explain the very basics before
moving onto the more difficult concepts. He played for me and my family after my lesson was over! We really enjoyed it! He knows what he's doing and he has the instrument knowledge to back it up!"

"Great teacher for our 8 year old!

Matt has taught our 8 yr old for about 8 months and he has learned so much! Though our son is a bit shy, Matt has been
very patient, positive, and makes his lessons fun. He lets him know it's ok to make mistakes too which is very comforting to him. He is now able to play with his older brother who plays guitar. Matt worked with them together to teach them a song for their school variety show and they are so excited! He is friendly, always on time, and very passionate about teaching. He explains things clearly and gives him a few beats to work on before the next lesson. He loves drumming now:) We highly recommend him."

"I took lessons from Ray for about 4 months because I wanted to take my drumming skills to the next level. Ray's teaching method is unique and effective. I
t's simple as that!. After 2 lessons my band mates started noticing better chops, more control on the drum set (as far as dynamics) and tasteful fills. My hand/foot coordination has improved radically thanks to those exercises customized and developed by Ray that target the weak areas. At my first lesson, Ray and I discussed my short but demanding list of concepts that I wanted to work. He was able to understand all my concerns in a heartbeat and put together a teaching plan that covered more than what I was expecting. Needless to say that Ray is a humble person and a great drummer ( I stole a of of licks from him!). The studio is very neat and organized. It has technology and equipment that as a student you can use for free. Another advantage is that Ray's studio has two drum sets so the theory and the actual practice happen in real time. Also, the studio location is very convenience. If you are a drummer looking for effective drum lessons, any style, any level don't hesitate to contact Ray. You won't regret it!. He is an A+ drum instructor."
