Groove is everything! Drumming is far more about feel than it's about flash. If you want to be the drummer who is in high demand you need to have both feel and flash, but feel is something that is not common. It's easier to learn flashy antics than a meat and potato drumming foundation. I've been a professional musician for over 30 years in the studio and touring all over the US, Mexico, and Central America. I can teach you how to play with seemingly effortless technique, how to bring your internal groove monster out, how to improvise solos, and bring thunderous energy into your playing venues! I look forward to speaking with you soon

Yuichi has been a really great teacher for our 7 years old son. He is very patient and really great with kids. He's made a real effort to get our son interested in drumming and music more generally, introducing to different sounds, rhythms and types of music. My son really enjoys his lesson and is making good progress!
Yuichi inspires you to improve, and shows you how. Simple as that.

I have a 100% rate of getting my students into their school of choice as of yet. Although I don't guarantee it, I will work relentlessly to make sure you are well prepared though. I will also lend you PDFs of books to help you save a buck.
About Scott
I have been playing drums and percussion since the ripe old age of 9, in 4th grade. Originally wanting to play the clarinet, my music teacher thought my sense of rhythm was too good to waste and placed me in the drum section. I was the only kid who didn't want to play drums. Over twenty years later

Mike is an awesome drum teacher. I have been taking lessons from him for a couple months now and he has made me able to do much more than I expected. He is very organized with an endless amount of different worksheets and charts to work on that challenge you just enough. He is a nice person and is fun to be around, I wouldn't take drum lessons from anyone other than mike."

Chris was able to get me caught up to the other drummers within a couple months. I was finally able to read sheet music fluently and began to be assigned more advanced parts to play in the school band. Each week Chris gave me homework assignments such as working on different rudiments or reading and playing different types of percussion sheet music (bells, xylophone, etc). My lessons with a Chris paid off over the years, as I was able to join the high school marching band as a middle schooler and went on to win accolades for my drumming in the school plays. Everything I learned and accomplished most definitely stemmed from my lessons with Chris!"

Andrew is an outstanding drum teacher. I took lessons from him for about two years when he was based in Los Angeles. He is well-versed in a variety of teaching styles and I was always amazed by his skill whenever he improvised on the drum set. His ability to break complicated sequences into more digestible pieces was immensely helpful and was invaluable when tackling more challenging beats. He is also an exceptionally patient and encouraging teacher.
He is very receptive to teaching students what they are interested in learning. One of the parts of my lessons I looked forward to was applying what I had learned that class by playing along to some of my favorite songs.
Andrew was very flexible and willing to accomodate my ever-changing schedule. Really personable and funny, too!
I was bummed to hear he was moving to the east coast. If he were still in LA, I would absolutely still be taking lessons from him!"

I can’t speak more highly of Murray and highly recommend him."

Thank you, John. We can't wait to take more lessons soon!!!"
