Matt taught me for a 3 month period and helped me drastically with learning how to improvise guitar solos. I can't thank Matt enough for his help in helping me with a rather unorthodox time to start getting lessons. Each week he told me to bring 3 songs with a guitar solo I would like to learn in different genres and each week we broke down the solos for me to practice and gather their techniques. Thank you so much Matt!

My 9 year old son had his first session yesterday, and he loved it. Matthew is great, responsive and especially patient! My son is looking forward to having more sessions!

Howdy! I started playing drums in 1999 - gigging/recording since 2006. I’m comfortable playing most genres (proficient in rock and jazz). Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. I’m new to teaching and I’m very eager to pass on my knowledge and help my students achieve their goals.

About Brendan

I've been playing drums for about 19 years. I played in all of my grade school and high school bands, and I've been writing, recording and gigging for about 12 years. I've been teaching for about a year now and I really enjoy it. I'm a positive and easy going dude, and I like to keep my lessons fun

I attended Berklee College of Music with drum set as my principal instrument. Drumming is a huge passion of mine and I have an appreciation for many genres. From pop to death metal, I love playing it all and want to teach you how to engage with your favorite music! I can teach you a classical snare piece, or we can learn math rock. I can get you comfortable behind a kit so that you can play the music that moves you! PLEASE NOTE: I do not have a drum set at my studio, all lessons would need to be in-home.

About Rae

Hi! My name is Rae and I've been teaching professionally since moving to Chicago in 2012. I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Professional Music, focusing on Music Education and Performance. For the last two years, I've been teaching drums, piano, and voice at School of Rock

Rae is a FANTASTIC teacher. She inspires, motivates, and connects to children in a unique way, consistently becoming a favorite of anyone who gets a lesson with her. Highly recommend!
Jeremy
Rae is extremely patient, positive, and most importantly knowledgeable.
I recommend Rae to anyone interested in improving their singing! She's fantastic!
Ashleigh
My two girls loved piano lessons with Rae! She met them at their level and set them on different pieces to stop the feelings of competition we were struggling with our old teacher. It’s still always a challenge to get them to practice, but her lesson notes are clear so I even though I’m not musical at all, I know what they should be working on!

ABOUT ME: I’m a drum teacher and artist who resides and has a studio space in Northborough, MA. I primarily teach at my studio, but will also travel to your home or have lessons via Skype or FaceTime. I have been playing drums since I was 6. I first started teaching in 2000. I could never fathom my life being void of this connection and want to pass on this healthy bond to others.

The diversity and abilities of my current and former students speak to my innate ability to connect, efficiently and effectively, and to teach. If you asked each of them independently, they share this common answer: they come away with a solid understanding of rhythm and the role of the drummer in a band, as an accompanying instrument, as a sound-base for meditation, as well as a holding the firm knowledge of the techniques and attitudes that make for excellent musicianship.

My goal for each of my students is that they become the best drummer that lives in them, one they have yet to meet. I want to get

I teach drum set and marching percussion, teaching for four years. I teach both tenor and snare drum for marching.

Lessons are tailored to the individual student and their experience, goals, and materials available. Having the respective instrument at the teaching location is preferred, but the minimum materials required are drumsticks, a drum pad, and a stand for the drum pad.

Drum set students should expect to learn the basics of technique and drum set-up. From there, lessons are tailored to the individual student, specifically what genres they are interested in. For beginners, I use "The Best Beginner Drum Book" by Drumeo.

Marching percussion students learn a heavier emphasis on technique, constantly being implemented into lessons. Students learn a variety of musical pieces and see technical and musical growth through each piece.

About Kevin

I've been involved in music since fifth grade loved it since! As a performer, I was heavily involved in my high school's music program being involved in: the advanced jazz band (drum set), advanced choir (baritone), musical pit (drum set/auxiliary percussion), show band (vibraphone/tenor drums), an

"I'm an "older" student who picked up the drums again after a many-years absence. Keith made my reintroduction awesome. He's a very talented musician who brings a passion and enthusiasm to the drums and his students. I always looked forward to my weekly lessons with him both because I was eager to learn new techniques, beats, etc. but also because I got a change to hang with Keith for 30 minutes and "talk drums." No matter your skill level, I highly recommend Keith to help guide you on your drumming journey."

"Best instructor I've had in years

I've been taking lessons with Matt for about a year now, and within that time my skill on the drum kit has improved tenfold. Matt teaches with a vast number of strategies to help me understand the lesson and improve my technique. He makes learning an instrument entertaining (as it should be) and not a chore or boring task. Matt is friendly, relatable, timely, and the best drum/percussion instructor I've had in California. 10/10 would recommend."

"Within the first lesson it was obvious how much Scott is passionate about playing music and helping other musicians succeed. What I really liked about Scott was that he didn't beat around the bush when it came to finding areas that I could improve upon, but in the same respect, he made sure he celebrated the successes and progress being made. That's the kind of teacher that can motivate someone to improve and feel fulfilled after the hard work being put into a craft. I unfortunately had to stop taking lessons due to outside circumstances and if I got the opportunity I would take more lessons with Scott."
