I went to Diamond Elementary and because of your excellent teaching skills I am one of the best flute players in the middle school district in Anaheim. I am the section leader for my flute section in Advanced Band and I am section leader for the upcoming AUHSD Honor Band. Thank you so much! I am an 8th grader now.

Mr. Gary has been teaching our son trombone for a few months now and we have been delighted with his teaching.
Mr. Gary is very patient with our son, and has ignited a real love of the instrument and given our son confidence. He never gets short and is always calm and encouraging, even when our son is not into it at all.
He teaches the fundamentals of breath, playing musically and how to take care of the instrument.
Mr. Gary is always encouraging and positive, and that helps to encourage a love for the music and instrument. Our son has definitely taken to the trombone and a lot of that is due to Mr. Gary's great teaching.

Luther stays where I’m at and then helps me go the next step. That is useful for consistent gradual progress without the frustrations of moving either too slow or too fast (I am a beginning tenor saxophone player). Nice interpersonal style, patient and easy going, while methodical.

I think Luther is great. He works with my 10-year old son on piano, singing and even trumpet and violin as needed. My son has to work hard to progress, and Luther customizes the lesson plan for him and seems to understand him well. I'm really excited about them working together.

My name is Jerry. I LOVE music and passing my knowledge on to others. I have played many different instruments in many different kinds of bands. It all one major thing in common, it was FUN! If you are not having fun while learning an instrument you won't want to learn. Lessons can be fun AND educational at the same time. I have had many parents tell me I'm one of the best teachers they have ever seen. (A couple of them were public school teachers themselves). I truly want my students to succeed and I will do everything in my power to help them accomplish that!

Jerry is a wonderful instructor. I wasn’t sure how online lessons would go but they have been seamless and fun and my son is making progress with the bugle. I would highly recommend this format and this teacher. The convenience and quality of instruction are excellent. We are signing up for more lessons and may move on to another instrument once my son feels confident on the bugle.

"David taught my daughter when she first decided to play the trombone in middle school band. It takes a special person to work with a moderately motivated, quiet 12 year old girl. He was patient, providing her with plenty of skills to achieve 1st chair without pushing too hard, or the wrong way. However, without his guidance, she would never have attempted to try out for mid-state. He urged her to play music she liked, but also made sure she was exposed to jazz, improv and other styles. He accommodated our ever changing schedule, and probably hid frustration well when she forgot her instrument or didn't practice. We couldn't have asked for a better teacher!"

"Jeremy took the time to get to know my son's skill level and knowledge level. He related what he was teaching to other activities important to my child. My son learned more in his first lesson with Jeremy than in a year of private face to face lessons at school. Most importantly, when the lesson was finished, my son wanted to keep playing and playing because he was so excited about what he learned."
