I’m a bilingual professional drummer/musician with a Masters degree in music. I have also been teaching drums for more than 18 years with students of all ages, from beginners to advanced drummers. I have also toured worldwide with many top artists like Becky G., Thalia, Oscar Hernandez, Lauren Jauregui, etc. Part of the things I think are important to learn as a drummer are: How to develop independence, hand/foot technique and speed, rudiments, theory, how to play different genres among other things.

My goal is to unlock your creativity! As an active musician, producer, and teacher, I love helping people learn to read, write, and play the music they love and envision. My teaching philosophy is that every aspect of music is connected and therefore to really get it, you have to learn it all! I take a wide ground up approach inching away at rhythm, melody, theory, technique, and feel altogether, advancing all musical skills equally over time.

I have had years of experience playing drums professionally as well as teaching a wide range of students. I graduated from Manhattan School of Music where I studied with the great teacher John Riley. I’ve also studied with Kendrick Scott, Michael Carvin, and Rodney Green. I teach about hand technique, reading skills, different styles of drumming, improvisation, as well as music theory. I studied Afro-Cuban Percussion, Percussion and Drums at the University of Northern Colorado, the nation's 3rd largest Jazz school. I bring 17+ years of education and teaching experience to the table.
